Deitz Strobe Heat fins

I always wondered how well the heat fins worked on some Dietz and other brand strobes. Here is a Deitz after 20 min of runtime in 65 degree ambient air. The heat fins are connected to mosfets which I think may serve a triggering role in the power supply, but they are certainly what they are worried about heating up.

I remember the early strobes with the cooling fins…interesting how they worked. 20 minutes is hardly any time if working a fire/accident scene.
Yeah, 20 min isn't much. If this weren't being sold I;d toucher test it in a warm area for a few hours with a direct light shining on it. It is worth noting the temps plateaued around 8 minutes.
