This car looks great. I love the ghost graphics. I'm not a fan of the rear white lights and it could use more blue since it's in NY.

WATCH IN HD!!!! Much better quality!

Don't understand why the ghost graphics were used on a fire chief vehicle, but it does look great!

Ghost graphics? and at the end of the video it looks like he's got someone pulled over.

I looked at some of the adjacent videos and found this one of the police chief's Explorer. You can see the fire chief's Tahoe in the background, parked behind that dark car. It appears they are at a working incident and the videos were taken by someone who had time and access to do so. (I'd venture to say that the fire chief got the lion's share of the Town's vehicle allotment).

That makes sense, Retired 1. Ghost graphics on a FD vehicle is just extremely weird to me. There is no reason that I can think of that makes any sense for a FD vehicle to not be fully marked.

When NFPA moves towards high visibility markings, and here we are trying to hide them. SMH...

I agree with more blue in the back. The bright side is he has a lightbar and it's not a slicktop.

I see what you did there.

The road was closed, he was not pulling anyone over. The car infront of the vehicle was a volunteer firefighter POV.

Both of the Videos posted in this tread are my videos I posted on youtube. They were takken at a Working Structure Fire. I was there to take Photos and Video of the scene. You can look at my photos I took on my Flickr Page (Link Bellow).

Here is the big video I took from the scene. WATCH IN HD!!!!! Yes, I know I need a tripod :p

It's very popular in this area for FD to use ghost graphics. It just looks cool. It may be because these FD have million dollar budgets. Here are some of my photo of them in use...

Would be more effective with a full reflective colored graphics. It is equally important to seperate a fire vehicle from a LE vehicle. It would be hard to tell what the vehicle is from a distance with the small emblum of the dept. Ghost graphics were mainly used as a tool for the dept's to get away with low profile vehicle's instead of utilizing fully unmarked. Some depts are discouraged from making stops with unmarked cars, as ghost graphics are designated as marked.

I really like your photography, what camera are you using?

Don't ghost graphics usually go with slick tops? Looks good though, I would've done something a little different with the back, don't really like those split TIRs

I think that's pretty typical. Our city bought a 75 foot ladder truck about 7 years ago, for all our 3-story buildings. But we've been begging them for ONE 4x4 patrol vehicle for winter time since before I started there 4+ years ago and we just finally got one. Said it took so long because it was so expensive. And apparently a ladder truck that's over twice as tall as our tallest building is not. I digress.

I like the Tahoe a lot, perfect amount of lights. I don't mind the ghost graphics except if they're gonna do them, why put a real-color insignia right in the middle of the door?

A 75' ladder is not that big, especially given 3 story buildings. Remember that the ladder does not go straight up, and does not sit right next to the building, and can be used as an elevated waterway. Seems like a very legit purchase (not that the 4x4 is not).

Stealth graphics are NOT necessary on a fire vehicle. It just looks stupid and doesnt sound safe. Whats next? A stealth fire engine?

Nice Tahoe but the graphics are stupid regardless if they have the money for it or not.

What he said^^^ I can see it now, look at that semi tractor trailer with lights on it, wait its a beer truck no its an ice cream truck, wait its a fire truck... Just as retarded as having a siren for escorting trucks in nyc... Haha

My local emergency services agency had trialed ghost graphics on a slicktop command support vehicle. Now only executive command officers have unmarked vehicles, everything else is hiviz marked even with no lights/sirens.

I actually dont think they are stealth graphics just white graphics on a white car. as long as they are visible at night I don't think it really matters. I have seen alot of chiefs cars with gold leaf and and a maltese cross but wording in the color of the vehicle. Looks kinda cool to me...
