Hello Everyone,


My Name is Todd, and I am from Upstate NY in the Adirondack Mountains. I just wanted to introduce myself , I was going to get a showcase together to post with this but there is always some glitch with the camera, I will just add it later. Anyway I was glad to find this site to see that others enjoy collecting beacons as much as I do.


I am a Volunteer Firemen with a local Fire District, as well as an Advanced EMT Critical Care technician for the local Emergency Squad. (EMT for past 24+ years) I am an RN Supervisor by trade.


I look forward to talking to many of you through this common link.

Town of Moriah, 10 miles from Elizabethtown and about 40 miles from Lake Placid.

the proverbial " grass is always greener on the other side of the fence"..


The Adks are nice, big,majestic and beautiful and fulls of things to do and see.


But I guess growing up and living there kinda takes the sheen and glitter off...


It is still nice up there though...

You aren't by chance from the old forge area? I snowmobile up there. There is also an adult beverage establishment called "the Wigwam". Can't miss it when you drive up, there's a tail end of a plane coming out of the roof!

No but I have been to old Forge, a friend of mine was a Paramedic there. The Water Safari is also a great place to go with kids anyway. Post a photo of that place if you can.
