In order to help with the frequent "which type of advnatedge/LP/aerodynic rotator do you need?" problem I am starting a sticky we can link when talking about the different editions of rotators used by the manufacturers.

Here is the standard advantedge to start things off. Whelen redesigned rotators and oscillators frequently. At first the advantedge and flush mount advantedge plus had similar rotators. When the advantedge went to the larger deeper dish rotators the advantedge plus kept the original rotators because it's lack of depth didn't afford it the curved raised roof of the full bar. Then came the oscillators which didn't last long, and finally a few incarnations of cut down rotators from other bars, then finally several different proprietary rotators. Whelen eventually came out with the larger super advantedge plus that could utilize full sized rotators. The responder bar often shared rotators with the advantedge too. Austin had a dula rotator version as well...

Below is a pic detailed the advantedge rotator, newest at the top as well as a shot of some of the advnatedge rotators adapated into their beacon counterparts.

Please add pics detailing different editions/versions of any company's rotators. IE someone do code 3's free form vs metal etc... Please include a good real life and stock pic when posting if possible.

Here is the responder from oldest up until around 2003. I don't have any literature or factory pics on the 3rd one down... it looks to be a type of advantedge plus rotator.
