NYPD Highway Patrol TIR6 Slimlighters

NYPD has been using Whelen TIR6 Slimlighters on its Highway Patrol vehicles. Dash mounted Red/White and two (Red/Blue and Blue/Red) on the rear deck. The rear facing slimlighters on the rear deck flash in a slow alternating pattern. It is clear that the flash patterns of the two slimlighters are syncronized. Can TIR6 Slimlighters be syncronized or does NYPD use some type of LED flasher to accomplish this? I've used dual Talons and Avengers but believe that the TIR6 Slimlighter produces a more higher level of focused warning. Any comments/suggestions are appreciated.

When first activated they will be in sync. The slower the flash pattern the longer it will take before they lose synchronicity. If the electronics are very consistent between the two it might take a couple of minutes.

The rear facing R/B B/R Whelen TIR6 Slimlighters used on NYPD HWY cars are a special steady burn model that they use with an alternating LED flasher to achieve the sync'd purposely slow and deliberate alternating flash pattern. NYPD flash patterns are carefully engineered to provide max visibility and depth perception, a far cry from much of the hodge-podge of busy and blinding self style setups that draw drunks "to the light" like moths and totally obliterate any recognizable outline of the police vehicle or anyone standing in its immediate vicinity.
