So I'll be installing an EB6 power supply in my Ultra Edge project to power 6 additional strobes. I was looking at Whelen's retrofit guide for the EB6 and they reference the grey "turbo" wire... what does this wire do? Is it a ground or +12v trigger? Thanks!

Usually a 12v trigger for faster flash rate

I am doing a video on this. In comet flash supplies prior to and including eb6 it actually raises the output energy, not rate. it was apparently meant for powering linear tubes. In older double flash bars it was rapid rate, and changed the rate not the output energy.
