by passive do you mean you need a flasher control for them??

Passive means they run off direct 12v power, this is opposed to the older ballast version which required a power supply to power them. These are 2 wire heads ( one pair of wires per section) thus meaning these are steady burn and require an external flasher

Just a friendly question. Would you consider a trade for some reds? I have 4 blue and 4 corner freedom LEDs. It is actually a mini bar I just do not need blue. Thanks

OK I am a dumbass when it comes to Whelen. (and a bunch of other stuff)

We have an Edge strobe bar on a 2007 Engine, it has 8 strobes.   The outer corner strobes are working but the inboard ones recently quite.  I am guessing that the power supply for those four strobes is dead.

Would these series 400 LEDs fit in those old strobe locations?   Would this work to upgrade this bar to LEDs?

thanks

It could possibly be dead or might be something as simple as a blown fuse. I would check the wires close to the power supply in the bar; the fuse will be inline on the red wire.

If they're 400 series strobes (normal strobe for an Edge bar / engine of that year), these LEDs will fit in place of the strobes. BUT you will need to hook them to some sort of LED flasher.
