I am trying to find out if I can replace the TIR6 heads in my TAM85 Traffic Advisor, with LIN6 heads. I am thinking the LIN6 heads are too deep. Could somebody with a LIN6 take a measurement for me?

What I need is the measurement from the FRONT side of the tab that would slide into my TAM85 extrusion, to the back side of the head it's self (where the wires come out). I do not need to factor in the wires, just the head (I can factor in for the wires).

If this is unclear and you have a light head you are able to measure, I can text you a picture of me measuring my TIR6, so you can do the same measurement. Just PM me your phone number or I can PM you mine.

Thanks for any help!

The entire LIN6 from front to back is just a hair under 1.5 inches, from the tab back is about 1 inch on the dot. I can get more measurements or pics of measurements if you need.
