Hi all,
I’m having a bit of a perplexing time with my Smartlogic unit and getting it to work with a momentary switch to activate a simple function. I am using a standard 12v momentary switch (only supplies +12v when pressed) onto ACM input 1 of my flasher with the end goal being to activate cruise lights. The ACM input 1 (switch type Press On, Release Off) simply activates virtual input 1 and tells it to go to the next state, and virtual 1 (switch type Press On, Press Off with wrapping enabled) toggles the cruise function on four outputs of the SLFlash. This behaves exactly how you would expect when the flasher unit is plugged into my computer running Command software; one press of the momentary switch activates the cruise lights, and pressing it again turns them off. However, when the USB is disconnected from the flasher, something strange happens; without any programming change, the cruise lights will only come on with the momentary switch held down and not “latch” like they are supposed to. Ultimately, my question is whether this is a client side error, a Command bug, or a hardware problem with my Smartlogic? I can’t see how it would be normal behavior, but I’m hoping I’m missing something and this isn’t a faulty unit!
Thanks,
Aidan
