Whelen WS-295-MP Rebrand?

My friend aquired this D&R siren, looks exactly like a WS-295-MP. It is a rebrand? I know Whelen made lots of sirens for people especially Galls.

Adding onto this he got it from an old RCMP unit, therefore I am going to say its def a Whelen

unfortunately not mine, it's a friend who doesnt really know anything about emergency lighting/sirens but supposidely got it for cheap at an auction. He came to me but I'll ask him. I've also considered seeing if he will sell it
