I have an ailing RV-45 and bought the replacement gear/shaft kit listed above, but cannot figure out how to get the old shaft and gear in a position so that I can remove and place the new on. @UnityUSA or anyone out there have any ideas? My 45 has the same config as the gearbox pictured above.

The gear shaft is held in place by two snaps rings on the shaft that match into grooves on the shaft. Removing the snap rings would allow the shaft to be pulled out. I do not have a way to remove them, we don't have any disassembly instructions.

I have a tool that might be able to get in there and remove the snap rings but I can't get an angle to see where to place it.

Thank you for your quick response. The part I ordered arrived in just a couple of days. Your company has great customer service!
