Horn ring help needed

Hi All,

I have a PA300 I want to wire the horn ring to a momentary switch instead of the vehicle horn. Looking for some advise on the proper way to wire. I see there are two wires on the harness related to the horn ring. One is to go to “horn” and the other to “horn switch”. Any thoughts on which one I should use? Also I thought I read in a thread somewhere that vehicle horns are usually negative switched. Can anyone confirm if this makes sense?

Thanks for any help!

Connect the horn switch (or “horn ring”) wire to one terminal of your momentary switch. Connect the the other terminal to ground or +12V, whichever is convenient. The PA300 will detect either ground or positive polarity.

Thanks for the input, I will give it a try this weekend and report on the progress.
