What is a reasonable value of a mars 888? Also do I need to lube anything? It seems to work perfectly

Does anyone know how to date these?

They tend to be pricey. White lube on the gears is helpful. Have no idea about dating mars equipment, they still make them and parts are available.

Thank you sir. I still have not decided on the value. I did order a couple parts, and a bulb. I was able to get all the rust off and make it very shiny again!

If the tag says manufactured in Chicago it’s older; Mars moved to Florida more recently. You should be able to google the year of the move.
