Thank You Sir, I was just going to ask that question. Would you know what replacment bulbs they would take?7-40 is the manufacturer’s model number. The other codes are SAE approvals. W3 means 360 warning lights, and 70 and 80 refer to the year. As Dan said, same light, but different decades.
Thank You, Sir very helpful.Dietz lens markings Dietz 234 or DZ 77-234 depending on age.

Thank You. Ok, so my Dietz 7-40 W3 80 will take 7400 and the 4416 won't fit in the holder?4416 prior 1980 and 7400 after that date.

Thank You, It's amazing how much knowledge everyone here has. Thanks AgainBoth will fit both lights. 4416 was standard in the older light, 7400 standard in the newer, but both bulbs will fit both lights. Same size bulbs, PAR36.
Is the PAR36 a replacement bulb for the 4416 and 7400?Thank You, It's amazing how much knowledge everyone here has. Thanks Again
Thanks AgainNo, PAR36 is the size of both of those sealed beam bulbs.
Thank You Sir, Very helpful.PAR is a definition of the size of a sealed beam.
PAR means ”Parabolic Anodized Reflector”.
The normal types of sealed beams used in warning lights are either PAR36 and PAR46.
PAR36 is 36 eights-of-an-inch in diameter = 4 1/2”
PAR46 is 46 eights-of-an-inch in diameter = 5 3/4”
