Holly Moses, can someone please help me understand what was happening????!!!!!!!
A bunch of volunteers running lights and sirens looking for an accident scene in the wrong place, they then comically all speed away to the correct location, after putting on quite a show here.

They also need to work on their response driving...

So, does the average driver move over for these vehicles?

This came up as a recommended video after watching the circus act at the top of the thread. Lots of epic Hatzolah action to be had:

They drive like maniacs with their heads cut off. Granted, we're all gonna be more amped up when you hear it's a ped, but u can't hit help the pt if you hit multiple vehicles and pedestrians (since NYC is the epicenter of jaywalkers with headphones that aren't paying attention). The grand Cherokees don't look too bad IMO, but that Honda minivan looks goofy. I'm surprised I didn't see a decked out suburban or escalade b/c they have boatloads of money and usually don't cut corners on lighting or their rides lol.

Looking at some of these POVs honestly makes you wonder if there's a minimum lighting requirement to be part of hatzolah b/c I've never seen a setup with < $2K of whacker porn installed in them

I have to get video of the all black Bentley Continental with I'd say about 2500 lbs of vertex heads. last seen on Westside hwy 4/12/16. Was hoping to find out it was the owner of Whelen, but his outfit stated otherwise..

Jesus, that was a mess. They are why states like mine say f-you when you bring up POV lighting.

My understanding is that Hatzolah is a Jewish Volunteer EMS service, they mostly serve in the larger jewish population areas in NYC and are funded mostly through donations..
I know a few of their members and have had past dealings with them and they were legit. I can't comment on the silliness of one youtube responding video.. but they have members that do lurk on here.. FYI.

1: riding is not allowed on the shabbath, but all rules are over-ridden when in a life saving situations. So a jew may respond to a call. Some divisions wont't allow them to drive back home, some divisions do allow it since its also preparing for the next emergency.
2: This is in Monsey NY at the big rabbis funeral 2 weeks back, some guys hitching along from they synagogue to the cemetery which is a relativly short distance (not trying to defend, and say this is smart. Just putting into context). Nothing to do with Hatzolah organization.

Actually it has everything to do with Hatzolah, undoubtedly that's the reason the vehicle operator has EV warning equip installed in his POV.
If this is the Rabbi's funeral and not a Hatzolah Little Rascal's response to an ambulance call the vehicle operator has no legal right to be in NYS VTL Emergency Operation.
Furthermore, if this is a Rabbi's funeral procession it is exactly the same conduct that set into motion the Crown Heights Riot of 1991.

@CHIEFOPS is there any documentation that supports your claim?

My understanding is that the incident (Crown Heights Riot) was caused when a vehicle in a funeral procession which was being led by an unmarked NYPD unit, fell behind and attempted to go through an intersection that was either Red or changing from Amber to Red when the vehicle struck another vehicle not involved in the procession. This in turn led to one of the vehicles striking a stone pillar which toppled over and killed one child, and seriously wounded another.

None of the articles I have read has there been any mention of Hatzolah or one of their vehicles being the direct cause of the crash.
The only commonality I see is that Hatzolah, is a Jewish organization and that the vehicle in the accident was part of a Jewish Funeral procession.

Am I missing something?

Crown Heights wasn't a funeral procession, it was a Rabbi's (possibly the Lubavitch grand Rabbi) "motorcade", with the police allowing one or more civilian vehicles to participate, or possibly wasn't even aware of it's presence...it was that same sense of entitlement to play fast and loose with the VTL as demonstrated in this video. In neither case is there any authorization in the VTL to permit Emergency Operation by a POV.

Their are multiple volunteer groups running running emergency lights in and around NYC. Not debating the legality and the safety concerns. Just because they're Hasids running red and blues doesnt make it Hatzolah.
