These are from a 1978 issue of JCW. I looked forward to my free copy every month as a kid. Until they dropped warning lights almost entirely in the late 1980s.

Jimmy, I think this is what you had...me as well...only in red. Mine is long gone, but I bought one recently - still in the box. Had been looking for years. Now to find a red or blue dome.

Great memories!
Those ole tri-beams have been around for a long time. Under many brands. Very effective for a single bulb. I actually saw someone post a video where he'd installed these tri-beam fixtures at each end of stripped out lightbar with inboard mirrors. I was a little stunned with how well it worked.

Here's a list of rebadges for the "Tri-Beam" type light.

I too loved the JCW catalog. I drove down there to get parts for my Ford Bronco back in the late 80's - early 90's.

Very cool memories. Still have this one on the work bench:

As part of a prop for a science fiction convention I mounted four of those with 2 double faced lollipop lights and a Radio Shack siren to a wooden cargo bar that we put on my buddy's Buick Skylark. It later wound up inside the "crash van" a couple of us bought to haul our bikes (and ourselves when the weather turned foul). Last I saw it was in my buddy's garage.

I had two of those. I mounted them on the headboard posts of my bed and taped red trailer tail light lenses overtop of the amber domes. I also painted the headboard and footboard lime green to create a 'fire engine bed'. The only thing missing was a siren.

I mounted mine to the handlebars of my 10 speed bike. Unscrewed the suction cup and used a the mounting band from a handlebar mounted bell. 2, 6 volt lantern batteries and it worked! sort off..................
I definitely never mounted one of these to my bike.. .that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
