Taken today.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, East Los Angeles Station, before the massive sound wall. The whole back of the station was visible from the 60 (Pomona) freeway. Late 1970's. Photo, me.

Spotted this unmarked with Cuda this last week near city hall. They're still out there!

IMHO, Aerodynics were superior "pop wise" over the Twinsonics at night. Beacons were all "OK" back then compared to todays's LEDs during daylight(my opinion). The fact that you can adjust the flash pattern was pretty awesome for that time. For the record though, all lights are awesome, thats why...

Try duct tape. Stick on the residue, pull off. Repeat with new piece of duct tape every time, until all of the residue is gone. Worked on a lot of sticker/label residue

Spotted an LAPD marked slick top CVPI with two uniform officers today in downtown. Also saw live news this morning in south central LA, unmarked CVPI with plain clothes next to a few marked Explorers. Sorry, no chance to get photos.

Anyone recall the brand Hyper Lite(not 100% sure about the spelling)? I believe they manufactured flashing brake lights for motorcycles, and I recall seeing them as rear deck lights on California Highway Patrol cruisers, maybe late eighties. Was a short period of time. Would be great to see some...

Regarding LAPD using CVPI s, I'll keep my eyes peeled. Wouldn't be surprised if they have several in there fleet, marked, unmarked, marked slick tops. I have seen Tahoe's in service with what appears to be bomb squad, usually with mini lightbars. LA County Sheriff's are definitely still using...

Thought I remember seeing mostly steady burn front red on passenger side only if it were a light bar. At least in Southern California. Great finds none the less.

I always used a single pole double throw(SPDT) switch for that application. Always worked great.
