Trying to find info on my 4 head dashmiser from factory

These showed up on a lot of Odyssey command vehicle push bumpers from that era. Odyssey is an East Coast company and seller is from NY. Unknown to me whether Odyssey did the customization or had Whelen make it. My bet is they commissioned Whelen to make them as they went on a fair amount of...

    Odd light issues

Did you check the check the swr of your radio’s antenna like shues suggested? What type of vehicle is this? May also be worth running the lights from a separate power source as the radio. Come to think of it, have you had your battery tested to ensure it’s not failing. I e seen some whacky...

    Pelican 200w siren issue

I’d still reach out to the manufacturer. Maybe it’s still under warranty. Sometimes manufacturers can actually be helpful and even warranty things when they didn’t have to. There’s also a resident siren guy here on the forum. Pretty sure it’s MTN MAN. He maybe a resource for troubleshooting...

    Pelican 200w siren issue

Assuming ur R+ is going to speaker positive n R- is going to speaker negative, I’m wondering if ur power amplifier isn’t blown. May be time to get the manufacturer involved sooner rather than later. Seth

    Pelican 200w siren issue

https://www.ledequipped.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/A-1108-1.docx Looks like siren 12v input for siren positive n both grounds should be hooked up. Then R+ goes to the positives of the speakers and R- goes to the negatives on the speakers. Are you running 1 or 2 speakers? I honestly...

For Sale Whelen Sale: Red, amber, red/white. IO Board and flashers.

Pretty sure pics 2 n 3 are not Whelen 900 series. While the bezels and size are identical, the lights inside are not the same. The brand name is escaping me at the moment, but wanted you to be aware. They made as a cheaper alternative to Whelen generally speced on ambulances. Seth

Looking to get a Whelen 4500 series up and running for home use

You will need a strobe power supply for the three strobe lights. If you can find one the Whelen isp94 was always a favorite of mine and quite bright. You’ll need some strobe cable extensions and a place to mount the PS, but would add another layer of affect at a party. If you’ve got anyone...

    Positive For Lux Ferous

Lux purchased a FS controller from me. Quick payment, smooth transaction. Once he received the controller, unfortunately, it was DOA. He called me, we did some troubleshooting, confirmed it was DOA and i immediately refunded his money. Unfortunately, I don’t have one to replace it with. He...

fd in process of switching from low band to high band

Bill is absolutely correct about an xts-5000 needing to be registered with the system and having a radio ID allocated. The Unication is a great tool with a lot of capabilities that doesn’t require a radio id allocated from the system. The OP is looking for low cost options, which a xts-5000...

fd in process of switching from low band to high band

So depending on what type of p25 7/800 system they’re going to, you very well maybe cheaper to get second hand 7/800 two way radios such as the xts-5000 if you’re doing a phase I system… If you can advise on what system you’re migrating to, I can tell you whether a xts-5000 maybe a option. Seth
