I have the opportunity to take one of these up on a trade and being that I do not need the exterior lightbar, I was curious to see if the independent heads were waterproofed. Also, do they take an external flasher?

Ours stopped doing that when we narrowbanded. Try turning on another radio and see if you can talk or hear it that way.

My guess is a bad cable. I have a similar problem with mine but if i play around (unplug, wiggle the cable, plug back in) it works again so that is my guess.

Another option would be to install a external flasher that has traffic patterns for either product ;)

Well the Ion has a bigger punch and appears to throw more light but also has a lighter hue of blue. The E6 Mini is slightly smaller and has a darker "true" blue. It is not as bright but for the money it is compairable. Not to mention if you have a SnM setup the mini 6's are another option that...

That baby is begging for a Whelen 690 strobe set up! Front corners, brake lights, and reverse lights. I know a lot of people don't like white to the rear but to each their own! It works!

Maybe the "less is more" idea??? On a slow pattern they really aren't that bad. A city close by runs a similar setup. I do prefer a fully populated bar though ;)

1 connect all sync wires 2 place 2 of the lightheads on the same pattern that are diagonal from eachother 3 place the other 2 lightheads that are diagonal from eachother on the same pattern... then advance one pattern. this should enable them to flash oppisate 1 2 3 4 1 and 4...
