    Federal Signal Siren Speaker?

Actually tested it again yesterday and it seems to be nearly 100% functional again!! It was sounding like a big ol pillow was stuff inside it. I think it got water inside the upside down speaker cone after the car got a pre-parade wash and detailing earlier in the week. I checked all wiring...

    Federal Signal Siren Speaker?

Yeah, I'll have to get back to you on that as I don't know. It was an old junk pile find along with another that says Sireno both from late 1970s I think. . I've seen a round black driver for sale on ebay that looks similar, but I'd have to take out my grill to have a look!

    Federal Signal Siren Speaker?

I have a vintage 100 watt speaker for my Federal Signal Interceptor PA20A that may be failing. What modern 100 watt speaker could I buy that will replace in behind my grill?

    Federal Electric Siren Study

(Sorry, no pictures) I have a Federal Signal Director siren I believe is from the late 1960's (not working) and a Fed Sig Interceptor PA20A currently installed and working in my 1972 Buick Squad car. I think the PA20A is from the mid 1970's.

    Kustom Signals

Scored some vintage radar units today and wondering if they are of any value to anyone. Looks like I found 2 Kustom Signals KR-11 units both with hard case. 1 empty hard case and 1 MR-9 unit with dash unit in nice complete shape, but can is in pieces (no cables). Also a hard case for that...

    Help Me Identify These Flashers

I believe these are true Unity lights. My father also had a door post mounted 2 sided Unity spotlight that looked the same with white spot on one side and red flasher unit on the other. I attached 2 pics that are a bit of a closer look.

I could really use help with my MR-7 radar unit. Cone cover issue.

I have a fully intact unit just as in your picture, but it is fully functional and I haven't clue how to take it apart. It is stored in my basement for the winter. Is it easily taken apart, or too delicate to try?... Love to help, but don't want to risk the same fate of a fubar unit for my...

    UNITY lightbar in action

You are correct, PA15A, but it became sick and now replaced with a PA20A 2E. Not period correct, but it does the job. Yes, Williston was transmitted from Glendive, Mt up to Regina and Saskatoon, SK. back when I worked for those local stations in the early 1980's. Now i'm a police 911...

    Fed Sig PA15 1E vs PA20 2E

Well my PA15 1E is definitely on the sick list, so I installed my backup PA20 2E and IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beside the additional Hi/Low tone, what are the differences between the two (years, tones etc.)???? The PA 15 has an older black mic while the PA 20 has a tan motorola mic. PA15 has...

    Federal PA15 - 1E Problem HELP!

When unit is left on for a while then sound turned on, weird tones (sped up versions) are both in wail and yelp. Thank you to both Wailer and Dale Cohen. Car is back in storage until one last show in August. Will try to check it before then and see what's inside. Both units are the newer...

    Federal PA15 - 1E Problem HELP!

Have a vintage PA15 1E (lat70s-early 80s) installed and the last 2 parades have been on warm days. Near the end of each parade the siren goes to shrill, much faster pulsing tones and does not work correctly. I'm guessing it's getting too hot!. Is it near death, or an easy fix I can do...

    Latest acquisition

I found it in the back room junk pile of a local communications installer's shop (also a friend) while searching for siren speakers. That along with an early GE POWER CALL. I sold the GE to somewhere on the east coast, but kept the Interceptor in case the Director did not work. The Director...

    Latest acquisition

Looks better than mine shown below. I think mine is a newer version as the mike is different. Don't know what to do with it as I already also have a PA15 1E installed in mine 72 Buick squad show car.

    Good deal or no?

I have one also sitting in my garage that is from a mid 1950"s Cadillac Ambulance (6volt). Not chrome, but it spins. I'll give it away for shipping (lead weight ya know).
