    Mars 888 Bulb

Mars/Tri Lite used to offer two bulbs for their Mars 888 lights. One was a 60,000CP bulb part no. 426006 and the other one a 100,000CP bulb part no. 426007. They no longer offer the higher powered bulb. Does anyone know why this is? Also does anyone have a bulb number for the brighter bulb...

    ERM PROGRAMMABLE LED FLASHER

I tried getting a price for one from FEVER back in August. They were unable to get in touch with him for a price. Still waiting.

    Dual Color Flash Patterns

Maybe they will add that as an update in the future to the software. Was just wondering if someone had figured out a way. I guess trio patterns aren't possible with the carbide then? There wouldn't be any time for the third color to flash.

    Dual Color Flash Patterns

Looking for some help with dual color light programming. Im using the cencom carbide with dual color ions and a dual color liberty. I'm not a fan of the no off time between switching colors. For example the off time on a single color light is filled with the flash of the other color. Are...

Converting halogen scene lights to LED

I have swapped them before, pretty straight forward. Are they body mounted or on poles? Easiest way is to get the same voltage rather than trying to go from 120v to 12v. On a side note if the trucks have 900 series scene lights, they are more than enough light and people forget about the...

    Par 28 Fog Light Flicker

I installed a set of Whelen Par 28 lights with the white steady to replace fog lights on a 2013 Charger. When the driving mode (white) is activated, they start to flicker after about a second of being on. I am using the factory harness for driving mode/ground, then another trigger for the...

Anyone know the part number or what these switches are called. They are carling switches, just not sure what the exact model is. I tried using the part numbers on the back of the switch but I can't find online. Thanks.

    Adding flashers to the MX7000

Depending on what flasher in there you could use the current flasher to power two more lamps. I believe most of the flashers in there have four outputs.

    Photocell Options

No problem, I did not feel that it had left the discussion stage. I just do not think the liability issue would be there for some simple reasons. If the photocell were to somehow activate during the daytime, the light would still be compliant with state requirements, and SAE requirements...

    Photocell Options

I'm sure that will be the case. Especially when the state law (here) requires much less: The driver of a vehicle upon a highway shall yield the right of way to any authorized emergency vehicle when it is operated on official business, or in the exercise of the driver's profession or calling, in...

    Photocell Options

Anything is possible I guess. I find it unlikely that insurance would be able to even find out that they were on a photocell. I will inquire whether dimming the lights takes away their certifications. If they do not, then there isn't anything they could do anyway. On a side note, have you...

    Photocell Options

I understand what you are saying. However, if you are at an intersection and you cause an accident, you are at fault if you do not yield to traffic anyway. It does not matter if you have a teardrop or lights decked out everywhere. As far as I know, the lights are still certified if they are...

    Dispatching apps for cell phones?

What kind of department doesn't want you to have a pager? If you buy your own, they can't tell you that you can't have it. It is your own property. There are no laws that says someone can't have a pager. Its not like you are monitoring some secret military frequency. Also, if you leave the...

    Photocell Options

Anyone have any experience finding or using a photocell to control the hi/low option on LED lights? I have to upgrade the lighting some fire apparatus, and would much rather use a photocell than a switch, simply because nobody will ever use the switch. I saw that Whelen had possibly made one...

    Headliner Bracket

So it seems like this is supposed to be like the hanger trick but with this instead of the hanger? Or is it actually supposed to be mounted to something? There arent any instructions on this piece on their website. Also if anyone has pictures please post them here for everyone to see.

Anyone ever use one of these brackets for the cobra dash lights? How is it intended to mount to the headliner? Any pictures of one installed with this bracket would be helpful.

Opinions on upfitting a lifted truck?

I'm pretty sure I would pull over, because that's what the law says.  When something is behind me or I hear a siren, I don't take 5 minutes to decide if the vehicle is worthy of pulling over for.  Come on.

    Vector Amp Draw

Thanks for the info.  FYI, most switch panels with a high amp switch run off of an internal relay, and the rest of the switches are just switches with blade fuses. Thanks for the info.

    Vector Amp Draw

Anyone know what each pod in a smart vector draws?  Trying to figure out the load on the bar, but the installation manual does not mention anything on the draw, only what the functions are.  The bar has 3 fast rotators and 2 slow on the same wire, then the 2 smart pods are on another wire with...
