Wanted ISO Signal VP Siren - Model SS730 - Replacement Siren for an in-service Ambulance

Hello, My local EMS Unit has an ambulance out-of-service for a bad siren, and they have had no luck finding one on the secondary market. The control head is cut into the doghouse, and they really don't want to completely rewire for a different siren at this point if they can help it, since the...

    Equipment CHP

CHP used 4000R bulbs in the front red spotlights, but they are almost impossible to find today, and if you do, they are wicked expensive, like 5 times the cost of a 4001R. The 4001R is sufficient for the task, and was used when they couldn't get the 4000R's. The red rear light was a standard...

CHP deck lights - correct flash pattern

I know this is dated, but it came up on a search for CHP lighting. Here is a more accurate description for the last generation of these lights: The last version of these lights (late 80's-early 90's) before going to the new system with Vectors and FS Signalmaster equipment operated as follows...

    Vintage CHP Lights Help

The CC1's were newer than 72, but I don't know exactly when they were introduced. They were still in the cars in 1986 when I moved to CA, and were replaced by the GE MASTR radio/control unit sometime in the early 90's when they went to the FS Vision and Signalmaster systems.

    Unitroal touchmaster delta remote project

This is an old post, probably gone, but it caught my attention too. I used an 80K amp and ran the siren wires to a rocker switch. I have Wail and Yelp on a Carling 3-way rocker. Works like a champ.

Help Wiring a PA mic into a Unitrol 80K for unmarked installation

Hello everyone...been away for a while, time for a new project. I am retiring from my fulltime gig soon, and taking a part-time LE job in another state. I will need my personal SUV to be response capable for work, and am finishing up making it ready. I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe unmarked, with a...

Wanted Whelen PAR36 SuperLED Lights - 2007-2014 Tahoe

They actually made three, with two still in production. PAR28's (3.5") fit all or most late-model Chargers. PAR32's (4") fit late-model Expeditions and Durangos, and Harley motorcycles in the aux light housings (I was told by Whelen). PAR36's (4.5") were for 2007-2014 Tahoes and Suburbans with...

Wanted For Trade - Red LED Grill and Dash/Deck Lights

Here are some pictures. I have two videos, but they are too large to post, or probably even email. The FS MODLED1F lights take a 4-pin modular plug to work, and none of them had plugs attached. I don't know the wiring schematic, so until I figure that out or get a plug from somewhere, I can't...

Wanted Whelen PAR36 SuperLED Lights - 2007-2014 Tahoe

No, it is actually a 4.5 inch bulb. Whelen still makes the 4 inch versions. That is what the newer Expeditions and Durangos take. If the 4 inch would work, this would be unnecessary, because I already have the bracket...I only need the bulbs...I would order the lights for an Expedition or a...

Wanted Whelen PAR36 SuperLED Lights - 2007-2014 Tahoe

I saw those...both sets (in fact all the ones on *bay right now) are 4 inch (PAR32). They are too small for the hole. I have a set of these lights in R/B for my Tahoe and they fit snugly. I NEED the same ones with the driving light option, so I have finally figured out exactly what I...

    California Spec Federal Signal Beacon

Yeah, as is typical for the California Legislature, they used all that space to say that you can have a vehicle of any color with any color front doors. The contrasting marking portion isn't even strictly enforced. Some agencies use "ghost stripes" or markings that blend in with the paint...

HELP NEEDED: 12V Power feed on civilian 2007 Chev Tahoe LS?

Update: I went with the 6g wires running off the 10mm nuts on the battery terminals. These leads went to a power distribution center in the center console. They are feeding a scanner, three Kenwood x90 radios, and assorted LED lights. No issues at all.

Wanted Federal Signal Viper/VPX: Single modules and clear lenses

Hello, I am upgrading my rear warning on my Tahoe from FS Cuda modules to a Viper/VPX system. I have a six-head VPX Signalmaster that I want to change the lenses from amber to clear. I also have a single-head on each end I want to convert from Cuda to Viper. I would like two red Viper EXT's...

HELP NEEDED: 12V Power feed on civilian 2007 Chev Tahoe LS?

It actually is a top-post battery, but it doesn't have a 'normal' bolt attaching the cable to the post...as the poster below confirmed, it has a stupid little 10mm nut that puts tension on some kind of spreader or something to create friction to tighten the cable. I just wasn't sure I wanted to...

HELP NEEDED: 12V Power feed on civilian 2007 Chev Tahoe LS?
