    911ep equivalent flash patterns

Hey ELB- I've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm back and have a new vehicle to light up. I've done some searching on the forums but can't find an answer. Since 911ep went kaput, does anyone make LED flashers with similar patterns? If you watch the YouTube video below, the very first...

    Need ambulance flash pattern help

Here are a couple more.  I concur... I hate split light heads.  I find big blocks of light are better than small twinkling lights.

CovertLights.com FaceBook Feniex Apollo Visor Give A Way!!

Except my friend did one of those "like the page and share the post" from Boss Snow Plows and he won a brandy-new Boss snow plow for his truck (and the prick learned of the giveaway from seeing me post it on my page). I'd say giveaways are pretty real. (and covertlights.com is an actual site...

    Saved an Edge!

And got another one! Well, not an Edge, but the price is right. Chief knew I took the Edge, so had the guys set this aside for me until my next day on. I'll take it! Code 3 Force 4 XL, and the speaker is still in the center. No wire harness, but that's easy enough to take care of...

    Ambulance box rear lighting suggestion

I agree with a lot of PDK's points. One of the best rear ambulance light setups was for a private I worked for 10 or so years ago, but since strobes aren't really around much, tough to replicate. But I've worked in other trucks and this is probably the best setup I've seen. Not overly...

Official "Whacker" or "Screwed Up Install" Thread

I'm far from a professional installer (I work on my car or close friends) but to me, it seems like he spent more time wiring the lightbar this way than if he had just drilled a hole, sealed it and powered it properly. Just my opinion...

    Saved an Edge!

Don't have any immediate plans for it at this time, but I think I would have been banned from this site forever if I didn't intervene.

    Saved an Edge!

Thanks! It's got the full cable length (seems to be, it's coiled up) and it's only missing 2 clear sections over the take downs. It's got 8 strobes, TD, alleys, rear halogen flashers and rear take downs.

Worst Ambulance and Fire Truck Thread:

I fully understand they are completely different vehicles. I was replying to mahemnyc's comment of: So to me, what I posted are the Dodge "variant" ambulances as mentioned.

Worst Ambulance and Fire Truck Thread:

It's actually been stateside for quite a number of years. This one is Beauport Ambulance out of Gloucester, MA and good 'ole AMR The first one I saw in Massachusetts was probably back in 2002 ish. I think Mercedes made the Sprinter then. Professional Ambulance Service out of...

    Belt

I've worn this belt for almost 5 years (same one) and no issues. I love it. Not worn out at all. Never had a phone clip or anything not fit. It's a bit snug for clips when it's new, but it's great. TheFireStore - Yates Gear: Last Chance Belt

    Wear Your Traffic Vest...

Yup. Federal law that went into effect November 24th, 2008. 23 C.F.R. Part 634. I'm a firefighter/paramedic and I wear a vest ANYTIME I'm on the roadway for ANYTHING. I don't care for what. Unless I have an SCBA on my back, I have a vest on. A good saying is "If your feet are on the...

MFD donates retired fire trucks overseas

It depends on how they replaced the truck. We got a grant for a new engine last year and the stipulation on the grant is that the truck it replaced could not be used for firefighting purposes and could not be sold or given to another department. I'm not sure if that applies to donating...

    Excessive use of LED's

Sorry... had to shorten the quote. I agree with your Number 1. It's almost like: You've got 42 flashing lights on your truck. Oh yeah?!?! I'm gonna put 43! But your comment about respect for emergency responses is perfect - and true. I'm in the fire service and when I have a blinking...

    MicroMan Industries Question/Opinions Built-in Flasher?

I say go for it. As a happy Microman customer, I already had a Sho-Me flasher floating around the house, so installation was easy. But having the built in flasher and only having to run a power wire would be fantastic.

    remote hand-held siren

I've got the SVP LCS-880. I love it. I only slightly screwed myself in it's placement because of a measuring mistake, but I love it. I like the lower tone of the SVP wail, and I got it cheaper than the others so that helped me pick this one.
