    Interesting LED Whelen Beacon

I really like that dome... is it made with two colors as a single piece or can the two halves be swapped?

Tokyo POTUS Motorcade = Interesting Lighting

That Chevy van with the two beacons (2:59) seems to actually be Japanese property, I saw it in a video of a UK motorcade as well.

    Led TCL

I'm sure it'll be fine at first but in ten years when the lens gets cloudy it's gonna be no better than a normal 9x7 with one of those dying fluorescent tube flash patterns like the pinwheel or whatever.

New Australian outback (NSW) BMW highway patrol car.

So this is a regular patrol car and not a show car? In the US, Georgia State Patrol had some BMW cars for the 1996 Olympics but they seem to have been just to show off more than anything. edit: My Google-Fu tells me that they were donated by BMW and used for the torch run.

    Restored 1988 & 1996 Houston PD cars

I could never get over that mix of colors in the strobe bars they used, but hey... period correct is period correct. Beautiful graphics and paint job on the '88 too.

Manairco Airport Beacon (Custom designed Mark 12 from Tripp Lite)

Maybe it was made green and the sunlight made the color fade... seems like a pale light blue now.

    My Multnomah County Twinsonic project

Never knew the front facing light would flash on those. Either way, that's a super classy piece!

    Sparky's 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD

If you're gonna have a beacon... gotta be halogen, CIE blue, fast motor, ideally from a European brand like Hella or VAMA or whoever makes those French teardrops.

Whelen 90h rotators with fluted filters. Pics and Video. Now in a lightbar...

Did those filters come in clear? Seems like that would match better with the same flash to match the red ones... but hey, if the red ones were hard to come by, have you thought about trying out a 3D printer?

    Help Me Pick A Siren

Whether it's for an engine that's in service or just a museum piece, I'd say whatever it came with originally, or at least something that is period correct for what might have been factory installed. Either a Federal Q or some other old-school woop-woop, definitely not an EQ2B or something else...

8.5/10 on the lights. Passable flash patterns on the LEDs but they're 1st-gen and not synchronized, and I do very much like the oscillating SLR beacons. And any Centurion without too many empty sections is just, like, idk this world just needs more of them or something, extra points for that...

    2018 Toyota Camry Install

Also not a fan of red on a non-emergency vehicle but other than that really not bad at all. Superb flash patterns for what the car is used for. If it were me I'd just use a Class I magnet-mount beacon but I'm weird.

    My new build need opinions

As it is now, assuming you don't want to add any amber or change colors to add amber to the rear, I'd say adjust the flash pattern for the rear upper lights so that both lights on the left side of the truck flash against the pair on the right hand side of the truck. That way, at a distance, the...

1997 Chevy Suburban Install for St. Clair Twp. Fire Dept. (Ohio)

There was that one guy here that put a Streethawk on his department's Suburban a year or two ago, that's more the kinda thing I prefer. But those LEDs are sure to pack more of a punch than the strobes he used.

Wreckers & Snow Plows - "Anything But All-Amber"

New Mexico police use red/blue mostly, and the state police uses all red. Mostly I think it's just a matter of what the vehicle looks like - a sedan with a red light is one thing, but a flatbed truck with a red light and a car on the back is clearly another. Whether it has a siren or not is...

How to Not Die Fighting an Ammunition Fire

Michigan State Police Beacon FTW (Trump motorcade)

Having a 360-degree warning light is necessary, but it doesn't provide proper forward-mounted intersection coverage, and if the car gets stuck behind a tractor trailer in the left lane, there's no way to get the guy's attention because the light is blocked.
