Any input on lighting packages on my new Interceptor Utilities?

Why are you using mPowers if budget isn't really a concern? As a full time police officer, fleet manager, and part time installer I would stay away from the nLine running board lights or any running board lights. They are the first things to get wrecked driving over anything. Spend that money...

    SmartLogic Flasher

The SmartLogic makes sense for departments/POVs who don't need a siren amplifier. With all the collected research data which shows slower patterns while parked and full synchronization is safer, this would work as a "budget Carbide/CanTrol" for DOT, Tow Truck, or Public Works. But my big gripe...

    Wanted Vehicle specific Durango ILB

That's something you'll have to contact Wilson on. You could just run it as a solid red passenger side only until you get the LEDs swapped out on the blue ones.

Did we get hosed? F250 Freedom Questions

Wait... Let me get this straight. -The F350 has a 57" Freedom. They saw the F250 and quoted you for a 55" Freedom. Then they turn around and installed a 44" Freedom. -They are claiming there is no price difference between a 55" and 44" Freedom? -They didn't wire a "park kill" to cut out white...

    SmartLogic Flasher

I like what I'm seeing with this. I wish this was available 3-4 years ago when I wanted just a little bit more out of my ULF44's; specifically a 3rd pattern and cruise inputs. But with more and more departments/agencies wanting complete vehicle sync and systems like bluePRINT, CanTrol, and...

Need help identifying flash pattern to brand

Like SEPD said, it was a Whelen product with Flim Flam pattern. One side of the bar set to Phase 0, the other side set to Phase 180.

    Ford Lighting Packages

So what I'm doing with my agency builds with Carbide, is I'm ordering the PIUs with all the factory lighting except the SOS interior bar and rear spoiler bar. The front bar isn't DUO and both obviously won't work with the Carbide. The way I pitched it was, all that lighting is the same across...

    Wanted Vehicle specific Durango ILB

I have a never installed Dodge Durango Feniex Cobra interior bar. It's Red/Blue. I'll sell it for $320 shipped. PM me if you're interested.

Police Interceptor Sedan Rear Headliner Lighting

Do you have tinted windows? Because Soundoff has a new shroud for the mPowers that fits right up against glass and is very clean. But with that being said, I wouldn't mount the mPowers behind tint.

Trying to Identify and Recreate Federal Signal Pattern on Liberty II DUO+ WC & Legacy WC

Oh, okay...I think I understand now. Go to the WECAN bars cruise setting and select all the colored lightheads and turn them on. Then crank up the custom cruise intensity to probably 50%. Now do an alternating Single Flash 75 pattern for warning. You may have to tweet the cruise intensity...

Trying to Identify and Recreate Federal Signal Pattern on Liberty II DUO+ WC & Legacy WC

I don't think the Arjent had DUO lightheads, so I'm not sure how they are achieving what you described. Is it a slow back and forth single flash "wig-wag", half the bar alternates with half the bar? If so, that's simple to replicate. Blue side, set blue phase to 0 and white to 180. Red side...

    Whelen Carbide Traffic Advisor

Just buy the 16 output WECAN expansion module. All my Carbide installs, I put one of these under the hood for all the foward facing lighting. Easier to route just the WECAN wires to the Carbide.

    mPower Fascia quick question

The 4" will fit. ...but you know what's really a GREAT light there; a Soundoff flush mount Intersector. As much as it pains me to say, seeming I'm a Whelen guy. It can be seen straight on from the front, the rear, and obviously the sides.

    Questions on Blueprint

It's basically user opinion. And my opinion is the software for Whelen Carbide and CanTrol WECAN is easier then bluePRINT. The bluePRINT software features has been improving slowly over this past year. But there's still some quirks; like cruise flicker (they're version of Whelen Steady...

    Whelen Inner Edge XLP intensity?

The XLP, is the slimmest internal bar on the market. But doesn't have the footprint of some of its competitors. To take advantage of the XLP you really need to have the pattern set to alternating full driver side and full passenger side. I've been using Whelen products for all the cruisers...

    2013 Chevy Tahoe SSV Build

I wasn't suggesting flashing the white in the ION DUOs. Set both colors to steady burn; red flashes with the ULF44 and white is wired into your takedown/flood button along with the white in the Whelen PAR driving/warning lights.

    2013 Chevy Tahoe SSV Build

Correct, Cannons won't play well with the ULF44s. Also, just saving you money, but I wouldn't use (3) ULF44s on this intall. You will be fine with (2). One for rear and side warning, and one for front. Why would you waste one just for side lighting? It's not like you'll ever need to program and...

2017 Suburban HD Secret Service version Install

If it's the one State Department orders, not much different. They come with the rear 3rd row seating facing the back, like an old station wagon. Don't waste your time flashing the factory LED day time running lamps. Install hide-a-way LEDs in the lower portion of the headlight, I think it's the...

Running cables through Ford PIU front doors

I'm confused (it maybe just because I just woke up) but those wires are already ran through the door up to the factory mirror plug. All you need to do is mount you mirror light, run your wire through the mirror housing, and attach pin terminals to your lighthead wires and use the factory plug at...

Running cables through Ford PIU front doors

Weird, I never came across a 2015 or 2016 that wasn't pre-wired. Should be a gray and yellow, gray and orange, and two others (I forget); all next to each other.

Running cables through Ford PIU front doors

Ah, unless I'm mistaken, but it should already be wired from the factory for the mirror beams. I've never needed to run wires into the front doors of a PIU. There should be a ground, sync, power, and pattern change wires in the factory mirror plug. I just grab everything there.

    Michigan DNR Conservation Officer Setup

The reflectors look smaller and more square then an Avenger or Spitfire. I'm with SBFD, and am gonna guess it's a dual Avenger TakeDown.

    Michigan DNR Conservation Officer Setup

I haven't seen the new setup of this DNR Silverado you speak of, but for As long as I can remember they've favored Whelen lights. They were one of the first agencies, that I know of, who did complete vehicle sync and dedicated park and response patterns; first using ULF44s and now CanTrol.

I got excited for a moment when I stumbled upon this thread. I need V5 as well for a last minute re-programming. Unfortunately, I got an error message too, just like ddiesel2007. I used winRAR.

New Siren/Control Heads and "Rumbler" type speaker

I wouldn't hold my breath. I'd say they're years away from it. None of their 2016 new release products (or the Cannons) will flash with an external flasher, unless it's a single flash 60/75/90. Having said that, they did release an external flasher...So, I guess they're making products to...

Go with the second option for the "back rack". Four nForce signal color surface mount lightheads. Two mounted on either side of the 3rd brake light cutout surface mounted to the diamond mesh. Two red on drivers side, two blue on passenger side. Eight mPower fascia single color lightheads...
