A three conductor flat cable fitted with a male Cinch connector is run into the doorjamb into the cab, where the female Cinch connector is located. They used to leak quite a bit...

    Yeah, parents moved up 20 years ago.  So I try and make it up every winter (put up christmas lights, etc).  If youre an hour up north, i'd guess the Laguna area?

    Same type of light made famous in the original Hawaii Five-O!  Had to replace pilot light post and bulb.  But otherwise works well!

    I can barely remember, but if I recall it was similar to the Whelen Alpha siren with two tones (Wail/Yelp).  Whelen has since created a siren box specifically for HPD with  its own part number.  Officers were provided both roof light and siren.  Wig-wags were allowed and so were grille lights...

    Yep! HPD still has the subsidized program.  Once officers spend about 5 to 7 years in a white (patrol) car, they can get promoted to "Motorman" and given a monthly "Motor Check" to help pay for their own car.  HPD has a fleet of about 200 white cars. Back in the 70's you'd see these running...

    So here is my restoration project (still in process). A retired HPD 1973 Monte Carlo S... Redrilled holes and mounted Gam antenna and Rota-beam with quick disconnect. Next up is installing the Mocom 70.
