I couldn't agree with Cory Y more. Whelen is overrated and overhyped. Code 3 and Whelen were in different categories in the past, Whelen was pretty much the king of strobe products while Code 3 was the leader in rotating products. From my perspective as a fan of all types of lighting...

The 3 led Optix are available with a synchronization option and the 6 led modules can be turned to steady burn and hooked up to an LED flasher.

Code 3's Optix modules are just as bright and effective as the Tir6s.

Indeed. Motors have very long lifetimes, hundreds of thousands of hours worth. The only way it would burn out is if something jammed it like holding a rotator while it's turned on. One of the circuit boards would have a higher likelihood of failing before the motor. This bar is being talked...

You can fit almost any LED module from any manufacturer in the lower level of an MX7000 with a little jerry rigging of brackets. Lin4s, 500 series, stacked Tir/Lin3s, Tomar RECT25s, Axixtech Extremes (I think) or whatever you wish. Get an Excalibur for lower profile and stick a bunch of Lin3s...
