BluePrint software is being phased out for the new SOS Central. I’ve been using it for awhile and I like it. I’m honestly not sure what the non-dealer policy is right now, but with Core being public I don’t think Central will be dealer-only.

If the siren has been in the car since 2018 it definitely isn’t a Matrix, just a standard Z3. When you look at the Z3 input/outputs, there will be a small port labeled “lightbar”. Is there a cable in it?

That is correct, both products have been discontinued.

The outputs should be negative when active. If the LED's for the outputs aren't lighting up, then the outputs aren't working. Have you verified the programming?

Also fyi, the white wire cannot operate by itself. It only works in combination with the other two wires.

I think you may be confused. You either have a retail Explorer or you have a PIU. The PIU doesn't have the idle shutdown, the retail Explorer does. There is no police Explorer with PTS.

Has anyone installed these in a Durango? I have both sets of brackets. I've mounted the speaker that goes in front of the passenger wheel, but cannot tell from the cropped picture in the install guide where the other one gets mounted. SOS sent me pictures for the pass side only, and of course...

Whelen probably said that because they haven't confirmed it will work yet. Each highbeam is driven by a separate relay, much like any other vehicle for the past 30 years.

Good luck dealing with Wholesale, they couldn't care less about their customers. I was forced to use them when AEP merged and it's been nothing but problems.

According to the 2020 schematics, each high beam wire is Yellow at the back of the headlight. A normal two output halogen flasher will work fine.

This is an ongoing issue. We always hot glue them on before each install because its inevitable that they will fall off. I just put the tip of the gun under the edge and run it all the way from one end to the other.

White will always override the color. To do what you want though, you'd have to use an external flasher and relays, or a programmable flasher like the SLFlash.

Attempted firmware update and now the CC is stuck in bootloader mode. Any ideas?

They may send you a link to download it, but unless you can connect to the devices, the software won't load, and then you will have to write the Matrix program from scratch because you can't download the program that's already loaded in the Matrix.

Just hook it up and find out. :)
