All, see attached video Alex and I shot today. Shows how to fix an input oscillation issue found in some cars. Did you all know about this problem or run into it before? Input - YouTube

    Feniex Mini-Apollo

Sirelite, Suction cups are a joke in the mechanical world. We always try to design for high repeatability (in this case, magnets with a set measured force). See my attached drawing. We designed in a solid magnet with a 95lb hold (380lbs total). Our competitor bars that flew off cars are due...

    Feniex T6 upgrades

To be exact we have a 7% increase in light output due to higher optical performance. Same LEDs & electrical system, just better optical efficacy with the new design. -Nick

    Feniex Mini-Apollo

Outlet PSE, You make a good point at the end about how "new" isn't always accepted at first. This is the fundamental hurdle we face at Feniex in new product design. Lets take our new mini lightbar for example (soon to be called the Apollo Mini). We drew up 100 different radical designs of...

Feniex Apollo Inner Lightbar Dual Color

Great point. Sadly it’s not that easy. We have a dedicated firmware engineer that spent over 1 month on the Apollo controller project and has over 100 pages of code designed in. I don’t think code writing is something end users can do. Maybe our software guy can design a more simple user...

Feniex Apollo Inner Lightbar Dual Color

Although that sounds like a great idea it would be rather hard to implement. The dual color controller in the Apollos is technically a 20 channel flasher. Not many smart controllers out there (including the 4200) go past 8 outputs. We can split up the wires and link 2 or 3 modules per wire if...

Feniex Apollo Inner Lightbar Dual Color

All, Thought I might share another quick video Alex and I shot about an hr ago. Its the first pre-production Apollo Inner Bar. Engineering is now working on a set of 20 patterns. If anyone knows of some key patterns we should program please post a video or description for us to review and...

Feniex Bracket and Suction Cup Failures

Jamey, What if we did something like this? I ran some tests on this VHB Glass to Metal bonding tape today. Its crazy strong! Took 2 of us to rip the dash light off the window. Pro: SUPER STRONG! Con: You really only have one shot at getting it right  FYI* tape is shown in...

Feniex Bracket and Suction Cup Failures

All, Sorry it took so long to get these drawings completed. Had a few other projects to finish up. Here are the rough drawings for the new Cobra dash light concept. My thoughts are to remove the extruded metal housing all together and follow the Apollo design. Everyone's feedback seemed...

    Feniex Storm questions

MtnMan, If any tone is activated when another tone is in operation, the "newly" activated tone will override the current operational tone. Even with that capability (which is what you are requesting) I would still hook up horn ring activation. -Nick

Feniex Bracket and Suction Cup Failures

AutoDetailer, The reason we didn't design in a headliner bracket for the Apollo family was due to the fact that the suction cup design is strong enough as it is. It remains in place with the same performance level as a headliner bracket. If we did adjust the Cobra line to a Apollo style...

    Feniex Storm questions

If you ask me I say just use Hands Free mode so its enables Horn Ring Activation. Why are you taking your eyes off the road to reach down to press a different button when you can just hit your vehicles horn to change the tone? my :twocents: I think your going to be really happy with this...

Feniex Bracket and Suction Cup Failures

All great points and I must say this thread kept me up the last 2 nights trying to think of a better solutions. I thought of anything from VHB Tape to larger suction cups. Any more ideas guys...? Only so many ways to stick a dash light to a window. Best idea gets the "new" Cobra dash light in...

    Feniex 4200 Control System

Hey guys, Please don't judge Alex and I in this video. Its nothing fancy, just us working late in the lab. We wanted to share a quick cool tech feature of the 4200 relay board. Please tell me what you all think? We hope you guys will find value in this output circuit design. Took engineering...

    Feniex 4200 Control System

The controller draws less then 100mA (0.1a draw x 13.8v operation= 1.38watts power output). Internal system runs 3 power regulators rated at 60watts each (180watts total). Semiconductor components are over rated to this level due to not having a heat sink in a plastic housing. So yes, the...

Pigeon Forge TN Fire Chief's CANTrol'ed Expedition

C2Install, Looking in our ERP system the only account I was able to pull up of yours was one dated back in 2011. Looks like you were placed under a master account in Tenn. (I might be wrong) If not, that might of been the reason for your order delay. Our production time on light sticks is...

Feniex Apollo Interior Light Bar (Sneak Peak)

    THROUGH 5% TINT: Feniex T-6 vs Star/SVP DLX4 - you decide...

I recommend you check your input voltage. Many people don't know this but the T6 outputs 15% less light when the car is off. Second, very strange result. The math does not add up. We use higher power LEDs then our/that competitor. -Gary

    Feniex Olympus 16X software

Rintoul, Your screen resolution is probably set to 800x600. In order to run minimized tab option you must be set to 1024x768. Once you do so click the Fire Logo on the right side of the program. That will set it back to normal operation. -Gary

    NEW Feniex T-6 (discussion thread)

EMT, You don't really think this was an all out new product do you? It was a quick 30 min design that was need to complete the Cobra line. In fact it should of been completed 2 years ago. A double flange is as "un-innovation" as it gets, but it was needed. True innovation soon to come...

    Feniex Cannon LED Hide-a-way!

Just to make it very clear to the everyone. If you steady burn 12 LEDs the product will fail is less then 15 mins tops. Please do not attempt this. For our Alpha production run (aka first production run) we left out the active dimming. For all our Beta... Charlie... and so on (aka, 2nd and...

Hey guys, Need your help. For the past few weeks I was instructed to work on a new concept for the Cannon. Customers have been asking for it to be recessed in a little deeper in the housing. See my attached 3D drawings. We will be calling it the Cannon Plus. Dont get your hopes up yet if you...

    Feniex Cannon LED Hide-a-way!

Looks like you didnt tap the pattern wires at the exact time at the end. So one Cannon got ahead of the other one. At the end you can see how the system does not sync if they are not on the same patterns. :-) -Gary
