    2017 Silverado siren speaker install

Awesome, thanks for the info. That's going to be a big help and probably less holes to drill.

    2017 Silverado siren speaker install

Will the Feniex speaker fit on a Whelen bracket? Is the pattern for the bolt holes for the speaker the same? That would make things a lot easier. Thanks.

    2017 Silverado siren speaker install

No. The shutters will hit the speaker. I'm planning on just leaving those shutters out of the assembly.

    2017 Silverado siren speaker install

For those owners of a 2017 chevy Silverado with the active grill shutters who want to install a siren speaker here is a pic of where it can fit. The shutters are easy to remove and the speaker can fit on the radiator cross bar. Some trimming of the plastic needs to be done on the lower shutter...

What changes/additions would you make to Feniex products?

Definatly being able to use the lights with an external flasher is my #1. More common flash patterns such as signal alert and a quad flash would be my #2. Make the Feniex external flasher have all flash patterns as well as more common ones and maybe a low power function. Every light should just...

    Spinal board ID

We have done permanent marker on a area that doesn't get any wear. We marked ours on the bottom between the rails so nothing really ever touches it so it lasts.

    Feniex introduces a new line

A very slow single flash pattern will work but with a bit less on time just like FEVER said. I tried signal alert pattern as well as a quad flash off a ulf44 which the light missed the first two flashes and just did a double flash.

    Feniex introduces a new line

I received mine in also and tried to see if they will work of an external flasher. Unfortunately they do not work correctly on a flasher. They have the momentary delay in power up much like the newer cannons. I tried both a ULF44 and the Feniex flasher with same results. Other than that they are...

    New Feniex Flasher

You just described the perfect flasher. Maybe add a low power mode also and that would be great.

    SNM or Feniex

I would go with the Feniex then. Great product and very bright also.
  17. EastSide279

    SNM or Feniex

Since you already have some SNM lights I would stay with that brand that way you will be able to sync your lights together for a more effective and better light setup. Different brand lights usually won't sync together. The SNM stuff is a good product with plenty of light output from what I have...

    2014 Xterra POV Updated 10/6

If you are not stuck on having a certain Whelen flash pattern that would work and the new cannons have three modes also.

    2014 Xterra POV Updated 10/6

I would be careful because the newer cannons do not work properly with all flash patterns when connected to a Whelen ulf44 flasher. There is a slight delay in the cannon power up time when power is sent from the ulf44 outputs.

Looks good. I like the synced rear vertex lights and the secondary flash pattern.

    M4 sync question

Use the pattern change wire to program lights A/B to phase one on the selected pattern and then program lights C/D to phase 2 on same pattern. Connect all the sync wires together. When powered up they should alternate as desired.

What's the optimum position for corner lights on a bar

I would think 45 degree would work nicely. Gives some output to the front and some to the sides to the front. I guess it depends if you need some extra light for intersection warning.

    Add another apollo?

The dual apollos look much better. If it was me I definatly would do that. I always like the idea of a bigger light footprint.

2 Whelen Outer Edges, a flasher, sync & steady burn.. A little help

Buy two flashers. One to power the light heads you want to use as steady/cruise and one for the other light heads you don't want to. Or you can always get the new Whelen carbide controller which will do the same plus much more.

2 Whelen Outer Edges, a flasher, sync & steady burn.. A little help

Take a look at the Whelen ULF-44 flasher. It has two modes and you can sync several of them together.

Brightest remote strobe heads? Not LED!

I think the 900 series are the brightest due to the large reflector. Definatly need to be driven by good power supply pushing the 20 watts per bulb. I have seen potentially decent strobe setups totally suck due to a low watt power supply being used. Color also makes a difference and day night. I...

Attention all, the Carbide software is now posted to the Whelen website for download. I just downloaded it last night. Very user friendly to use just like the sapphire and wecan software.
