    Cheap Whelen grab

If the bar came stock with 6 strobes there should be 2 supplies. One for the corners and 1 for the inboards. The power supplies in the Edge bars are not "regulated". This means that a linear (corner) and a helix (inboard) will not flash at the same intensity when flashed together. It would...

    WeCan Programming of a Legacy

There is a tutorial on the CD supplied with the bar. It is time consuming to go through all the steps and instructions but worth it. Once the first bar is programmed, you can transfer that program to all of the other bars.

    Whelen Rota-Beam Pattern Demo

Hi Dan, It's hard to tell. I would say the L31 is a bit brighter but the "action" you get from the rotator off of surrounding objects is unmatched. The L31 has all 4 sides illuminated at once as well which fills the dome whereas the rotator illuminated only the section that is actually...

    Whelen Rota-Beam Pattern Demo

Hey John, I believe it is wattage along with heat. Something with the multiplied wattage of all the LED's together. 1/2 sec bursts is still a prob. Whelen edge help

The bar is a serial B-Link bar. You need the MPC01 control head to run it. In addition to that you will need the newer head as the original MPC01 only sees 7 positions across the front of the bar where the ultra has 8 positions. You will also need the software to program the head along with the...

    Whelen Rota-Beam Pattern Demo

The LED's are fully powered. To do a "flash" they would have to cut the power. It was tried repeatedly with LED failure. I suggested "strobing" just the center row of LED's, We'll see. It is outstanding though, in broad daylight at 100 feet. You have to think it is actually rotating...your mind...

How is that? I purposefully shot from the top to decrease the flash so the camera would pick up the pattern. The light is ridiculously bright.
