Siren not to be used as a siren.....

Forgot a couple months back I picked up this cell phone window mount that you just stick your phone too. Works perfect for the smart siren controller and I can swivel it wherever I want.

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

I jumped the gun and grabbed a really decently priced smart siren, but should that not work, or I get sick of all the extra buttons I'll definitely have to look into that or the earlier mentioned sho me. Seems they both would have been perfect for my application, but maybe I'll shop around...

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

Generally speaking that seems to be how I'm going to have to mount it, only problem I see is that it's going to take a lot of cord to get up there, but I'm only going to mount the brain behind the rear seats. Looks like it will be out of the way up there, yet easy to access.

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

Yeah I came to that same conclusion. My current plan once I get the thing in the mail is to see if I can take our the door behind the glasses slot which is more sizeable and possibly the glasses slot itself out. There seems to be absolutely no use for the third area and none for the glasses...

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

Sorry guys, comparing used and new, just found a used ss for $135, and didn't have much luck finding a used SHO-ME which has an msrp of $299. Obviously msrp for a new ss far outstrips $300 but in the case of options I found it did indeed come out to about double. It would have been nice to...

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

I'm loving the input guys, great ideas, don't know what I'd do without this site. Sounds like I have a good chance of picking up a smart siren for around $150 and it seems like it's my best options aside from spending double on the remote Switch Box. The Brookings one would work great but I...

That's what I was thinking, already found one for $6 on eBay. I appreciate the help.

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

That looks like a very viable option too. Pretty much perfect for what I'm looking for. If I can't find something used for a decent type, I might have to go with that. Thanks!

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

Thanks Tom, I did see that while going through the vast amount of posts that pop up when you type smart siren, it was here: http://elightbars.org/forums/f95/whelen-vertex-dominator-avenger-linz6-ss2000-talon-sa315p-ion-m7-m4-cencom-inner-edge-50000/ but it says it comes with main harness only...

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

Thanks for the input. Seems I should head over to the for sale section and see if I can find me a decent complete ss or cencom. Thanks.

Siren not to be used as a siren.....

To begin, there will NOT be a speaker attached to any possible siren I purchase as I do not need one and it would be illegal in WI for me to do so, therefore opinions on tones is irrelevant. It is very possible this post is in the wrong place, if so please take my apologies and move it, just...

Well waukesha has the money, besides the freeway , there isn't enough traffic to justify that much in one truck.

Golight Stryker on a Tahoe? Thoughts?

Not sure about the Stryker, but I keep a radio ray on top of my blazer constantly with the magnetic mount and I've never had a problem. Used three different patrol vehicles in the past couple of months and it even works pretty good on the hood. Driven 80+ with it, thrown it on a wet truck, on...

    Arrow Stick

Think I got it now. I do appreciate the help, I know I sound like a Noob but we all start somewhere. My phone doesn't get along with this forum, it looks fine after I type it, but then it looks like a cat ran across a keyboard when posted, so apologies for that.

    Arrow Stick

I sent Tom a PM but it was right when they were switching up the site. So it was probably lost now that I think about it. It's the Awl rx-46. I appreciate the help guys. So it sounds like I need a switch with three contacts on the back, one for power one for the function wire and one for the...

    Arrow Stick

Im sorry guys, Im probably going to come off stupid here but I cant seem to find the information I need. I recently bought the six head warning bar off awl's website. I just cant seem to figure out how to fire it. Never wired anything except foglights to a single switch so Im absolutely new to...

    Side mount light.

Seems to be the way to go. I'm a complete Noob with wiring so it will be an adventure going into flashers and switchboxes. Need to learn it and it seems easy. Thanks for the help guys, didn't even think of microman off the top of my head.

    Side mount light.

Microman seems very well priced and has exceptional reviews. to be honest star seems a bit much, I could get a two head light for the price of their one head. Im leaner towards microman even though ill have to get a flasher.

    Side mount light.

Thanks guys, appreciate the replies. Adding to the options list, at this point I should just buy two of each and try them :)

    Side mount light.

Alright guys, I have a 2000 blazer 2door and I'm looking to get side lights. I have a dual Avenger in the front and a ledo dash light in the rear, which will be removed when I get my six head Awl stick this week. At the moment all are cigarette but I may be putting in a switchbox this week...

    AWL RX-46 Traffic Advisor

I've been doing some looking into this bar and Tom actually has some really reasonably priced switches on his site. On a side note, I have a blazer which seems to have a similar tint in the back so if you could let me know how it looks I'd really appreciate it. I'mreally interested in this...
