Public Safety light for USCG Aux vessels

Thanks for all the quick responses. The problem with all the rotators is that no one sells the clear dome with red and amber bulbs. I realize they could be retrofitted, however the supply store wants to stock something they can buy from a manufacturer ready to go. The Whelen is a nice LED...

Public Safety light for USCG Aux vessels

Our Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla is in need of patrol lights, we used to purchase them from our District Aux store and they were Federal Model 14 ( or the newest variant of that). The regulation says it must flash an alternating amber and red light. This Federal light had a clear dome and red...

Wanted Need a 2 lamp beacon

And maybe any other ideas... the regulation says it needs to flash 120 times per minute, and alternate red and amber. It needs to be 360 degree visible.

Wanted Need a 2 lamp beacon

OK, this should be simple. I'm in need of a 2 lamp beacon, clear dome, amber and red bulbs. New or used, doesnt matter. We use them on our Coast Guard Auxiliary patrol boats. Seems the previous supplier isnt making them any more. The last one I got was a Federal. I cant find anyone who makes...

    Mayberry Light

Found this on Google search: the correct light for the squad cars. It is the Mars RB-363 and not an SW-2 look up the sites and you can see for yourself (on John Dorgans website) that an SW-2 is not the right one. and plainly see the RB-363 is the correct one for "Mayberry. So far I can't find...

Oscillating and traffic clearing lights thread

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldnt the split red and blue just show up as a purple light from a distance? I've noticed locally ( on NY State Police ) whelen led bars that have the red and blue leds, that the flash pattern doesnt alternate the colors and from a distance it just looks like a...

    Speker wiring help

This is copied from the speaker installation manual. This is necessary so that the speakers dont effectively cancel some of the sound from each other. If they are not in phase, one speaker diaphram will be pushing out, while the other is pulling in. Not sure if this is your problem, but you...

    Whelen ION's as driving lights?

All real driving lights or fog lights have a sharp cutoff of the upper beam spread to not "blind" oncoming drivers. Warning lights do not. This would be a real distraction, not to mention a liability issue.

    3rd brake light

Installed the F-6 in a housing from a 2013 Chev 2500 pickup, a little cutting of the housing with a dremel tool and a bit of silicone to seal it up. Connected the RED to the brake light circuit, put the WHITE on a switch for a work light.  I've got pictures on photobucket, but this forum wont...

    3rd brake light

This truck doesnt have a 3rd center mounted brake light, but I want to add one.  If I use the F-6 just as a brake light, ( NOT a TAIL LIGHT), can I use the 2nd color (white) as a work light?  If so, what model am I looking at?

    3rd brake light

The F-6 looks like it would fit perfectly where a standard 3rd brake light would be. I dont need it to be a tail light. The truck has plenty of tail lights and clearance type lights.  Could the 2 color model be hooked up to have the white light on a switch for a work type light?   One of the...
