    2015 Chevy Silverado

Question on the lighting to the rear.... why not use the pre-drilled bolt holes through the upright posts on the backrack to mount the spotlights? This gets thin a tiny bit higher with less drilling, also allows the other lights on the rack to be moved further towards the outside instead of...

    BMW e60 amber install

Well said. Made me think of my grandmothers sister, she broke down on the side of the road, dosnt have a cell phone and was somewhere in vermont. Luckily someone did stop and help her and get her on her way, there wasn't a need for police of anything she just needed help with the car (can't...

    2014 Ram Slicktop Police

Wheel well lights... why. why. why. why. Stupid idea. Waste of money. Ill take the lights off their hands. Tailgate mounted bar was dumb too. Should have mounted the Rear bar on a back rack or done something like two E6 or similar lights on a back rack and not four under the tailgate.

Bringing up a slightly old thread. Love the black bar, now i might have to get one for work on the new truck. I love the sleek look and for the cost these bars look bright. Ive watched Strobes N More videos on this and all the whelen bars and I swear this must be brighter, although it won't look...

Dallas PD chase and take own (Officer fired)

My local PD should hire the cop and have him clean up all the scum bags I grew up with dealing drugs to each other. I see nothing wrong with a little force. Ill be the first to admit the younger generations (Im 20), like myself, needed more force when raised to teach us right from wrong...

    BMW e60 amber install

Being a non-emergency personnel on here, with lighting on my vehicle (Following MA state guidelines for color) but due to working construction where we may be parked on roadway or doing work in the road. I like the install, looks good, I just don't see the need for the front bar or to add more...

    E4 LED LIGHTHEAD Pattern

I like this idea and second it. If they are looking to be really undercover maybe tint the light head? i was reading a thread on here yesterday that showed how it worked and hid the lights well.

    2014 Police Chief's Tahoe

I didn't like the HLF and the driving lights combo flashing. Needs more sync

    2014 Ford Expedition Chase Truck

Love the install. Why wouldnt they put no modules in the rear of the light bar, and invest that money into an arrow stick for the rear window. The rear of the bar won't be seen by almost anyone it seems, so the savings from no light heads in the rear could get the arrow bar for a more effective...

POV Response to a Commercial Vehicle Fire

I stopped a minute into the video after deciding it wasn't worth listening to the guys heavy breathing anymore. :bonk: :bonk: Anyone have the play by play?

Official "Whacker" or "Screwed Up Install" Thread

Being in that industry I can agree with what you are saying, although I haven't seen blue yet, I have seen a lot of clear, and I have seen a red lens on a light bar. Also, I heard something about there being a new amber light permit (free) for the state?

NEW Version * 2014 WHELEN Liberty SX ~> VIDEO Update !

As someone stated before I really do hope that a photocell is included in light bars soon. What amazes me is coming here and seeing the knowledge on placement and flash patterns to help lighting be effective, and how people here on the site know to do more with less lighting, yet as I drive to...

To whack a whacker. (Wanna Be/Imposter ride for sale)

You can buy kits for underglow, engine compartment, wheel well, and interior lighting that goes with the music or to a set color changing pattern/single color off of amazon for $30-150 depending on the kit. This guy took trying to show off for the ladies to a whole new level. :nono...

Lighting my 2013 F-150.... try to explain best as I can! multiple jobs

Why not just do all blue? Around here the police respond to fire calls anyways so it wouldn't matter what color your lights are since you are the chief of police too?

To whack a whacker. (Wanna Be/Imposter ride for sale)

I had a security car behind me on the way home from classes one night here on 93S and they started flashing their light bar at me. I was doing 70 and they were riding my ass. Finally they passed me and I saw it was a private security company my aunt works for in a management position. I heard...

    City Of Waukesha Chiefs Buggy

The installer really likes tootin' that horn! To flashy, I bet it will end up being one of the vehicles a drunk stares at and hits because of it. I swear thats what seems to happen now.

    Boston FD Double LODD 3/26/14

As someone from Boston its been great to see everyone around the country sending support, this happened not more than 2 miles from my college. I only quoted this since it was a walk-out basement at the rear of the building. I believe most of the injuries were burns and smoke inhalation, there...

Constant whistle from justice on back rack

You said your mount folds back? is it the Back Rack minibar mount that does that? Maybe its something to do with the hinge on it having some space for air?

Constant whistle from justice on back rack

I have a Mini bar on a standard back rack mount on my truck with no issues. I do however notice that the airflow over the cab changed and now i get light snow buildup in a triangle under the middle of the bar down the rear window. Not sure if that will help you solve the problem or figure out...

When is too many lights to many?

Im going to search for a Mansfield, MA police car video. One of the new ones seems to have the entire rear window of the charger flashing as well as the tail lights and full light bar to the rear, crappy seizure patterns all the way around. Surprised a drunk hasn't hit them yet, you drive by and...

    Portable IVP On Plow Truck

I hate having to clear my lights... damn LEDS. Speaking of which my town decided to run Code 3 with 6 inches of snow frozen to their Ford Utilities light bar this winter. You couldn't tell the lights were on until they were next to you.

    Ohio Green / Amber

As the videos above said, the whole point of them adding the lights were to stand out since people had gotten used to seeing all amber. I think its neat and was looking at doing it to some of our trucks here for snowplowing. Glad to hear it works!

An Upfitter Warning : Civilian Ford Explorer... and my $410 oopsie.

In response to John, if you go on amazon Dewalt has a bunch of these cameras. Figured I should post this since Im willing to be a lot of installers have DeWalt drills or similar that they use. And the DeWalt one has a viewing screen that can be used wirelessly.
