    New MSP Beacon

That would be cool. I've always wanted to see Whelen do an Action Flash pattern but instead of a single flash between Comet Flashes, use a SignalAlert flash.

2020+ FPIU Headlight Wig Wag Patterns

@NoLimitSquads That's so odd that it's not every FPIU but enough that it's a noticeable issue.

    California/CA Flash Patterns

I've always wondered the same thing. I've set a pair of dual Avengers with the same phase where one was set to SignalAlert75 and the other CASignalAlert and they stayed in sync for a while so I'd be willing to bet thesr patterns are the same.

2020+ FPIU Headlight Wig Wag Patterns

Seriously. It's all over the upfitters guide. I was even worried about testing it that I would fry something inadvertently.

2020+ FPIU Headlight Wig Wag Patterns

...and I've cracked the code. :D On my 2023 FPIU, the code line is: 734-01-01-****-****-2175 In the last box, I changed the second digit from a '1' to a '2', wrote all (button at the bottom), cycled the power off and back on and I got the combo headlight flash pattern. Here is a screen of the...

2020+ FPIU Headlight Wig Wag Patterns

In theory, your screenshot looks correct. I have yet to dive into the codes with FORScan to confirm that 'Livinitup' FORScan spreadsheet code I screenshot'ed. fp13-2 said they tried a couple codes before they got it so unless someone else can confirm, I've got nothing and have to defer to...

2020+ FPIU Headlight Wig Wag Patterns

I think I know what the issue is... Line 734-01-01 is for whether or not the wig wag headlamps function. For your specific vehicle to turn the flashing headlamps on, the "0002" should be "0001". Line 734-01-02 is what pattern they flash if set to function. and you 'wrote' those changes...

2020+ FPIU Headlight Wig Wag Patterns

That is AWESOME!!! Thank you fp13-2!! That third pattern is the way to go - THAT should be the factory standard flash. Did you have the dealer program it or is that something that can be changed with Forscan?

Suggested Windshield Strip Tint Percentage - Whelen Inner Edge FST

Thanks for the info tsquale! I've heard of this trick a while ago and totally forgot about it until this post. I have an admin/undercover squad coming up where I was planning on using a tint strip on the upper windshield but was not crazy about how much the output would be reduced. This seems...

Suggested Windshield Strip Tint Percentage - Whelen Inner Edge FST

I've heard about the same trick but I've never seen the final results. Dumb follow up questions... How do the pantyhose compare to tint? Do you stretch them over each individual lighthead? How do you secure the pantyhose to the lightheads? Glue?

Not exactly a direct comparison since they're not in the same video but watch both YT videos to see the lux readings and light spread for both lightheads. Whelen ION Duo SOS MPower

2020+ FPIU Headlight Wig Wag Patterns

Hey everyone. I'm curious to know if anyone knows what the extra 3 flash patterns are for the Ford factory wig wag flashing headlights. The upfitter's guide says there are 3 total patterns but it can only be changed by way of FDRS. I've searched the interwebs up and down and can't find any...

2020+ FPIU Auxiliary Lighting Solution (factory red/blue fog lamps)

Does anyone know the Ford factory part numbers for the "21A" Auxiliary Lighting Solution (factory red/blue fog lamps)? I've contacted multiple dealers and even asked a local upfitter and no one seems to know this part number.

    Getting the siren to work...

Hm... that would help to determine if it's a speaker or controller issue. I don't have a lot of experience with the Whelen software but if you can customize and select which output the siren can be triggered by is it possible that the siren output was programmed to another output or trigger...

    Getting the siren to work...

I'm more than confident it is an issue related to the siren speaker if you can hear the siren from the siren controller. If you have one available try a different speaker.

Argent S2 LED lightbar questions and parts needed.

These are usually all over eBay. This is one that is currently listed. As far as what type of switching - that's totally up to you because the SIM converts the data into separate input wires. That said, to get the most out of the bar's functionality I'd get any switching device that allows a...

    Getting the siren to work...

The (+) and (-) wires are all connected/secured to the proper terminals? If you have an inline fuse, is the fuse bad? Otherwise, it sounds like the driver in the siren speaker needs to be replaced or the speaker as a whole needs to be replaced.

2015 explorer and linking reverse lights with warning.

My 2015 FPIU had dual color SoundOff nForce LEDs that would turn steady white in reverse. The same exact thing happened - the reverse lights and the SOS LEDs turned off after a couple of seconds in reverse until it was restarted. Same thing repeatedly happened. Our up-fitter then installed...

    Lightbar Tint

For us it seems to work really well there as long as we have a 3x7 strobe head. The recievers see them a very long distance away. We've tried using a "curly" strobe tube drilled into a take down reflector in the lightbars however we found out that those reflectors point down at the ground. The...

    Lightbar Tint

Thank you Dave. Between Stampede Valkyrie, firebuff and your response this is exactly what I was looking for. Sort of related… the upfitter took out one of the modules in the passenger side of the Legacy light bar to put in a micro preemption strobe. Thankfully I went to their shop before we...

    Lightbar Tint

A non tinted bar was not presenting any issues for us. The administrator in charge of the fleet at the time didn't really specify anything with the upfitter outside outside of a very basic overview of what he wanted. So it was the upfetter that decided it looked cool. I wanted to see if there...
