    Whelen 500 Series: LIN4 vs. LIN6 vs. LIN8?

Thank you for all the info. I'll have to save a little more for LIN6's, but if they are notably brighter, it seems like it'd be well worth it.

    Whelen 500 Series: LIN4 vs. LIN6 vs. LIN8?

For those knowledgable on the various styles of LED 500 Series lightheads that Whelen produces: In there any significant difference between the economy LIN4 and the standard LIN6? I've also seen there are LIN8 versions from ballasted Liberty bars (whatever that means), are those signicantly...

    ULF28 Questions

Does anyone know if, when synching 2 Whelen ULF28's, can one be activited and operated normally, then activite a second one and have them both by synched together with the grey wire? Also, is it just the main 12v input that needs to be fused, or does each lighthead need to be fused off the...

Ultra Bright Lightz Cigarette Plug Switch

Does anyone here any experiance with the cig plug switch that UBL makes? I was thinking of upgrading my very temporary amazon lights to a Whelen TLN2AA & TLNCV5AA, possibily using a ULF28 to power for 500's as well. On their website there is 2 wiring digrams listed, and I'm not what is what or...

Possibility of converting a Whelen TA836A from 8 to 6 head traffic advisor?

AFAIK, the 836 is flashed with the external 9-Pin connecter with a TA controller. For how little I'd use TA, I don't see much sense in upgrading one to LED.

Possibility of converting a Whelen TA836A from 8 to 6 head traffic advisor?

Does anyone here know if it'd be possible to remove the end lamps of a Whelen TA836A and made it work as a 6 head unit? I wouldn' t be using the Traffic Advisor as much as rear led flashers, so I was thinking of just putting 2 500 LIN4's in the ends and run them of an external flasher like the...

    Whelen Talon Modification Question

Well there'd be 2, one mounted under each sun visor clip on either side of the rearview mirror. And it'd probably end up being way less expensive than a brand new one, too, as well keeping the lighting, even custom, period correct to the car.

    Whelen Talon Modification Question

That kind of reminds me of wayyy back a decade or so ago when ford-dealer put 2 LR11's in a single talon. That's what first brought the idea to mind of replacing one LR11 with a small footprint light (TIR3/LIN3/LINZ6). If the lensing on a talon and on the end cap of a Liberty I are the same...

    Whelen Talon Modification Question

Does anyone know if it'd be possible to remove the LIN6/LIN8 out of a single talon and cram in a LIN3 beside a LR11, both in the talon housing, It was a thought that crossed my mind ages ago, but seeing as I don't currently own any Whelen products (yet), I figured I'd ask here. I currently only...

    Cheap Air Horn/PA Unit Recommendations?

It appears that I've fubar'ed my terminology here. I was more so referred to an electronic air horn like you'd hear from any modern police cruiser. I've seen the speedtech pa100w, but that and a seperate siren goes for >2x what I'd want to pay considering how infrequently I'd be using either thing.

    Cheap Air Horn/PA Unit Recommendations?

Does anyone here have any recommendations for a cheap air horn / public address system? I was given an admittedly generic siren/pa system that can be seen under proably dozens of Chinese brands. I'm not fond of having any siren tones in my vehicle, it just feels wrong. I know there's products...

Whelen 3rd Brake Light Talon Question

Quick question on the 3rd Brake Light Talon that Whelen made for the Crown Vics. I was looking at a cigarrete lighter plug made by Ultra Bright Lightz, as I was thinking of getting one of the 3rd Brake Light Talons, but it lists there being the option of a postive or negative charge model...

    Fed Sig Aerodynic letter meanings?

Hello everyone. Does anyone has a list of what all those letters at the end of the 22/24/25. Seems like just about every letter of the alohabet was tacked on the end. Also, assuming the Model 22 was the first Aerodynic version, when did it even realease? I've seen some Aeros on 50's/60's Ford...

    What halogen lights are these?

What model are the red lights (seen on the rear of the attached images)? They seem cool, and I know very little about most lights save for a few big brand lightbars and perimeter lights.

Setina Push Bumper for Ford Crown Victoria

Looking for a push bumper for a Ford Crown Victoria (2005). I don't really care if it is a PB100, PB200, PB300 or PB400, the mounting brackets came with my car, so all I'm looking for is the bumper only. Also looking for some PB5 fender wraps and associated brackets.

    Whelen UFM8 Traffic Advisory Question

Just curious if anyone knows anything about traffic advisory possible by the UFM8, whether if it stays in its 2x2 switching, turning on 2 lights at a time versus the 1 at a time that I prefer, if any of that makes sense. Here is the UFM8 PDF -...

Whelen Ion Bracket For Setina Push Bumpers

Hello everyone. Does anyone know if there is specific mounting bracketry that mounts the Whelen Ion in the Setina push bumpers, specifically the front facing ones. From the PDF regarding this, they seem to be nothing unique, but even if they are normal brackets, I don't see how they'd mount in a...

    Whelen Traffic Advisor Plug Question

A quick question on the Whelen TA plug connections, like the one that interfaces with the Whelen TACTL5. So my understanding is that pins 1-8 are to the power/positive wires of the dummy style lightheads in TAs, and the grounds go to y'know, chassis ground? But then there is pin 9, just labeled...
