now it is a "demo vehicle".....i love it

well it is both, a demo car for my small upfitting company and we use it for escorts also. Im in iowa and work for a good escort service and if we did stuff like in the videos we would be in trouble. But in iowa we are required by law to use red and amber lights with a siren. The siren is only used when entering interscetions. And we dont speed around like crazy people. I dont want to start any trouble here but not all escorts do stupid stuff. :)

Can you provide the actual text of the law you make reference to?

I cant find the part about the audible warning device but it is here some place.

also this is iowa code

321.324A FUNERAL PROCESSIONS.

1. For purposes of this section, "funeral procession" means a

procession of motor vehicles accompanying the body of a deceased

person during daylight hours which is being escorted by a vehicle

continually displaying its emergency signal lamps flashing

simultaneously and using lighted headlamps and identifying flags, or

an escort vehicle displaying a flashing or revolving red and amber

light visible to pedestrians in all directions, and keeping all other

motor vehicles with lighted headlamps in close formation.

2. Upon the immediate approach of a funeral procession, the

driver of every other vehicle, except an authorized emergency

vehicle, shall yield the right-of-way. An operator of a motor

vehicle which is part of a funeral procession shall not be charged

with violating traffic rules and regulations relating to traffic

signals and devices while participating in the procession unless the

operation is reckless.

3. The funeral establishment in charge of the funeral procession

is liable only in connection with the procession for any negligent,

reckless, or intentional act by the funeral establishment or any

employee or agent of the funeral establishment that results in any

death, personal injury or property damage suffered during a funeral

procession. :)

Again I dont want to start no trouble on here. I do my escorts within Iowa law, and I do them as a way to show respect for the family of the deceased. You know as well as I do one person doing something stupid makes it hard for the people who do it right. And if you ask me that is sad.

A close up video in the dark really does not show how effective the lights really are. How about a video during daylight hours with a bit of distance? Just my .02

i'm not trying to start a war...just saying to keep you out of trouble. Some states that say "a flashing light" in there statues really mean one light. Just be aware of that. Maybe a mini bar thats red/amber would be better.
