Here is my 03 'Hoe.

Equipment

AWL r/w dash light

2 Sos tir3 red in grill (temporary)

Whacker inciter 4 (to be installed on push bar)

SnM hide a way led clear. (DRL stock light area)

Whelen strobe pack (2 in rear amber turn sig. 2 in tail -- to be installed )

Whelen Freedom all red with T/A ( to be installed)

Whelen Mirror beams with rex tir 6 500 light heads ( to be installed)

CDM 1550 UHF remote head 45 watt ( on panta vise mount)

Kenwood tm v71 (mounted on pantavise mount)

Whelen beta 112 r.

GO Rhino push bar

Well here she is. I have big plans for her. At first i wasn't going to mount the freedom but with what they go for now and shipping i would lose to much Plus i am buying my truck I will do it my way. I will also be doing a small install on the wifes honda. I plan on puting the sos tir3 s on a lp bracket on the back and the AWL dash light up from accompanied by the beta siren when i replace it with a cencom or ss but thats later. I will have to build a custom console for all this equipent along with the rest of the ham gear digital scanner and inverter i plan on installing. With all those radios will come the 4 nmo mounts on the roof.

Here are some starter pictures. Pardon my typing I am posting from my iPhone I will edit on the computer later.

Pretty sweet. Too bad you're all the way out yonder or I'd ask for help with my coming install.

The sos tir3s are just mounted in a piece of aluminum stock I found in my shop. And mounted it to the rad support. I just used short self tapping screws to ensure i didn't go through.

Here is a pic. It is temporary thats why it isn't painted or loomed. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1356365383.962575.jpg

Looks good. I'll just do the same thing as well. Maybe stick it up a bit closer to the grill for visibility.

Sounds like you need your belt replaced haha. Looks good. I was thinking about doing a light bar in my grill but I don't know if it's worth it.

Btw, hard to tell in the pictures, those aren't XTS radios are they?

Roger on the belt.

As far as the radios the ones under the seat are the brains to the TM V71 Ham radio and a CDM 1550 Full Power Conventional Uhf mobile (45 watts 403-470 Mhz). And as far as the portable in the picture with the grill off that is an HT 1250 uhf.

As far as the bar on the front I like it ok. I think it would be better if it was a 6-8 head bar. I really am considering swapping the quad bar for some LED PAR 36 they are simple but effective.

That was my primary guess but the appearance of the top threw me off. We have two 1250's sitting here at th station. They were supposed to be remounted in the engine for mutual aid to the next county, as they're still in UHF, but nobody has bothered....lol

Well the dash light I had to begin with, I just recently bought the white led haws. The dash light will be coming out and going into the wife's car once I mount my freedom. IMO I think dual dash lights look better with dual color, its more effective at a longer distance and having a clear flashing alt. to a red up high gets a drivers attention that I am coming way before I get to them.

Installed two single talons. They don't sync.
I will upload a video soon.

Everything syncs if you try hard enough (or spend enough money)! Looks good regardless.

I hear you. I am looking at some flashers. In the past I have used Sho-Me But I am considering doubling my money and getting a Whelen ULF44. It has power to push multiple light heads plus more then enought patterns to choose from.

I have used a Sound Off led flasher and the Whelen. The SOS flasher has some pretty basic patterns. SOS needs an updated flasher It is easy to install. I think I like some of the patterns on Whelen are better. Just my .02

Well today I built the console. I isnt sanded or finished. I am going to start laying out the equipment and need a good idea for some cup holders? I found some dark gray textured spray paint that is supposed to mimic rock, that I am thinking about covering it. Excuse the mess.

Very nice! You could also carpet it as another option

I would use spray on bedliner, it makes for a much more solid box. I have done this on the inside and outside of sub woofer boxes and it makes them much more solid and the bass hits harder

What did you go with...? I would think rubbing your leg on carpet is more forgiving than rhino liner.

For me, sides carpeted and top the granite look..

Nice work with wood...no pun intended... :D

Quick question. I'm getting a 2002 Tahoe soon. Where did you get the mirror beams for yours? I can't find the mirror beam caps anywhere.

I am nearing completion on the console. I am still looking for a havis/troy/jotto bracket for my m1225 and bct796. Plus the poker table cup holders. Then texture spray. Here is it mocked up so far and all seams and screw holes filled and finished. Don't mind the build up of putty in the first picture I sanded it all down see the next couple of pictures. Here is my Code 3 Excalibur I picked up from Scott over at SMSales. It has 5 rotators up top take downs and alleys. I have lots of different Ideas for the bar. Considering some oscilasers up top and some leds in the bottom. In the end I want to go as far as making a fully populated 2100 with arrow stick. But that is down the road. Here it is on tope of the Tahoe. It isn't hooked up or strapped down on there to get an idea and to adjust the feet and straps. ( less work for when i mount it permanent.

Redid the console setup.

From top to bottom

Motorola CDM1550 Lowband Modified to 6 meter ham

Motorola CDM1550 UHF (Fire & Ham)

VX2500 VHF (Ham, Murs, public safety). ---Soon to be replaced with 110watt mcs2000 VHF. ------

FS SS2000

Whelen TACTLD1 TA controller

As you can see the faceplates holding the cdms are not correct but that will be changed soon. Also I am in the process of making a panel for the front of the console where the dash is exposed, that may have to wait as I might be giving my tahoe to the wife. She needs the space for all three kids which means I get to get a new truck I am thinking about a colorado 4 door. I have always wanted one and there is enough real-estate for my freedom, antennas, and console with all my goodies. Thanks for looking.
