2003 to 2006 Chevy Tahoe Console

I am looking for information from someone who has built a custom center console for a 2003 to 2006 chevy Tahoe. I like the havis and jotto center consoles but feel I can get more out of a custom built one using wood. If anyone has does this and cares to share pictures or ideas I would appreciate that.
