Thats very nice but i think you might need a little more for the front and to the sides for intersection warning. But just like it is right now i would love to own that unit very very nice.

I agree completely...needs a little more intersection coverage, but still a very nice vehicle.

Some LED3s on the LP bracket facing the sides and some Intersectors under the side mirrors would do the trick nicely.

I like it. Why not red/blue all the way around? To each his own I guess, but it looks great as is.

I'd have to agree with the others, alittle more intersection warning and you'd be set.

Illegal in NY. Technically, emergency vehicles can only have blue to the rear.

Didn't know that. That answers my question, thanks.

nice vehicle. outta curiosity, how come a captain's vehicle gets red lights & siren, as opposed to chiefs only (i.e. did u get the DOH permit for carrying BLS supplies)?

yeah, it's only a pretty recent rule. previously, NYS only blue for courtesy light (non-chiefs), then it started allowed LEOs to have it to the rear, and now fire apparatus and chief vehicles can have blue to the rear (in addition to their red/white lights). and of course, amber for pretty much anybody

i gotta ask

howd you get the grill/bumper apart

im working on the same truck and it appears the chrome grill and entire bumper clip are all one piece.

thanks ford

Correct, it is all one piece. The whole grille/bumper cover must be removed as one piece. Pretty simple just like most bumper covers. I'm not sure if this is how this one was done, but it is the method I use.

Taking the bumper off is easy. open the hood remove the 6 plastic screw clips, 2 screws under the bumber, 1 screw in each wheel well. Then the whole bumber comes off

if any new york EMS squads are like some in NJ the "Captain" is head honcho of the place. basically captain=chief in some places depending on the organization structure.

I would love to give you pictures of the grill lights but, unfortunately the car has been replaced with a 2013 Ford Explorer Sport.
