Well, I traded in the 06 Suzuki Reno for a 2013 Chevy Cruze LS and thus begins a new install. Over the last few weeks I have finished phase one (phase two will come once I have the funds to purchase my new lights) with my existing supply of lights. With this install I was trying to do my best to have minimal obvious install damage to the car, Just in case I decide to trade it in I want to keep the resale value and with holes drilled everywhere that is not a good thing.

I installed two scorpion pods in the grill which in order to access I had to remove the front bumper cover. I fabricated mounting brackets and attached them right to the bumper. I also mounted my siren speaker to the bottom side of the bumper right behind the license plate.

Right now I have just a mini phantom on the dash. Phase two will include a split interior bar.
For the controls I use a cell phone mount that Ozzy8585 found that was specifically made for the center console for my car. The mount is made by ProClip USA and is a solid piece of heavy plastic. No drilling to install to the car. I did drill the side of the mount in order to mount my mobile radio. I secured the control panel of my Fed. Sig. SS2000SM to the top with heavy duty mounting tape.

For the brains of the operation I kept my old idea of mounting all the electrical components to a piece of plywood and mount it to the the backside of the back seat. I made some upgrades from the Reno. I installed a new fuse block with grounding plate to make everything easier to wire and make sure every component was fused properly. Also made sure all my wires were grouped and zip tied neatly!

For the rear of the vehicle I mounted two more scorpion pods to the headliner and then fabricated mounts for the arrow stick so that it attaches to the child safety hooks.

All in all I have approx. 16-17 hours into this install thus far. Phase two will include a split interior bar, clear haws in the running light in the trunk lid, side warning in the back door windows, and something that I believe I will be the first and only one to come up with (at least for the cruze) and it should looks awesome!

I tried to make it as neat and orderly as possible and I actually impressed myself!

Ozzy8585 and I usually work as a team in a side "under the table" business doing installs for people. He said after looking at this install my car will now be our "demo vehicle" lol.

I love the idea of mounting the equipment to a board on the back of a flip down seat! That's awesome!

Too bad none of the fleet / special service vehicles come with those!!

Yea I love it for ease of use and a central location....flip the seat down and don't have to crawl into the trunk to work on stuff......

Should update the antenna and get a lip mount. Lighting looks good!!

I second this! a lower profile antenna would look great. The install looks awesome so far, Good job.

Looks pretty good. Can't wait to see phase 2.

My only complaint right now is the pattern on the TA. I prefer a "fill up/down" pattern. Not sure what it's called. like this:

not going to spend the money for that as the county is changing over radio systems soon. we are on low band right now and they are switching to uhf.

it has many different patterns for the TA but I like this one as it is what most of the LEOs use around here.

If you're happy with it, then so be it. It's really up to you. I find the general public pays almost no heed to TAs anyway.

Do you have any pictures of your home made mounts for your grill lights? Are you using a siren? If so, where do you plan on mounting the speaker? I've got 2 whelen sa315p's mounted under that metal "bumper" you mounted your grills on.

Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the grill lights mounted, but the mounts are just sheet metal stock that I bent at a 90 degree angle. As far as the siren I do have one and I mounted the speaker to the bottom of the metal bumper as well, directly behind the license plates.
