I don't run a ton of calls. We have a pretty robust full-time crew. But when I do, it would be nice to have a smidge of lighting.

I've been inspired by NCHP marked slick tops. I figure "If it works for the guys who spend 100% of their time on the road, why wouldn't it work for me?" Those units typically have a dash light, two deck lights, and a couple of grill lights. And that's exactly my plan.

Front:
R/W linear-style dash light
grill lights? (we'll see if I feel like I need them)
Rear:
R/A Viper S2 knock off
R/W Viper S2 knock off

The car:

The inspiration:

Stay tuned!

I don't want to be that guy but.....
Your going to have more warning in the rear than you will up front (especially if you do not install grill lights) The front is where your going to need or want it most.

Actually, I disagree. I respond no differently than I drive to work. I can't (and don't) bust intersections. I don't really need people to know I'm coming, but I do need them to know they're coming up on me.

I'm going to suggest that you pick a different agency for your inspiration. I'm very familiar with NCHP's slicktop set ups and they are woefully inadequate and have more to do with budgetary constraints than effectiveness.

That being said, I would definitely go with some grill lights. Nothing crazy mind you, I'd say some Feniex T-3s would suit your vehicle just fine. Due to the profile of your vehicle I'd say your dashlight should be mounted high near the RVM or visors and as long as your knock-off lights hold up your rear warning should be fine(unless you plan on parking on the side of a highway).
Good luck and watch out for the "Gray Gods".

What I'd like to do is figure out a way to put a blinky in the side-mirror turn signal housing.

Anywho, I have my approval, now I just need to find time to take out my headliner.

(I cut the 10A line from the fuse block to the "power seats" - which I don't have - and ran it instead to a secondary fuse block. From there I power my lights, and on a separate fuse, my trailing lighting)

Questions?
