Well after 4 years of having my Durango I am finally putting some real lighting in it. The talon on the dash just wasn't cutting it (and honestly wasn't that safe anyway).

Front - Whelen Inner Edge XLP (on order, shipping 08/04 hopefully)
Sides - Whelen dual Talon lights in each rear side window
Back - Fievex 6 module bar A-B-B-B-B-A with traffic advisor capability
Back (supplementary) - 2 Strobes-n-more pods for when hatch is open.
Controller - Whelen PCCS9N

Here are some preliminary pics. Will get more once everything is in and wired up.

Finally got the Whelen inner edge delivered today! I have to say a few things. First, this is much smaller than I expected (insert obligatory "that's what she said" comment here). Secondly, the Whelen brackets are no joke. Amazing quality in these brackets. Very sturdy and fit perfectly.

Now I just need to get tome to mount the lights to the brackets and get everything wired up. can't wait!

The baby steps continue as I get time. Inner edge installed but still need to find a solid block of time to wire everything up. That is the one thing that seems to be elusive. I have 30 min here and there but not the time needed to get it done. LOL

Well, finally made some progress. This video is pretty awful, I will get e better one tomorrow. I had to make some adjustments on the controller but finally have things dialed in. This video is before I did that. Was happy to just get most of it done. Still need to add the side windowWhelen Talons, but for now this is what I have.

Still need to clean up the wiring looms inside the vehicle too, but was excited to post some progress. LOL That's rare for me.

Where did you end up running your wires for the rear light bar? Looking to do something similar with my Grand Cherokee.

so the bar is mounted to the opening part of the hatch. I needed the clearance to get stuff in and out when the hatch was open. I ran a loop so it had some slack for the hatch to open then ran that under the top trim piece. Form there I ran it down to the bottom of the trim then across the front under the right rear passenger seat, and finally under the console and under the driver's seat where the power hub is.

Note - I had to extend the wiring to get it to where I needed it to go. On a GC it would probably make it to wherever you need it to, but the Durango is a little longer. In hindsight I would have run the cable from the driver's side but it's all good. LOL

I can get more pics if you'd like.

Thank you for the detailed response Chris. This is very helpful, and I can certainly learn from your experience. It sounds like I will likely run the cable from the drivers side up to the front. Do you have any pictures of your power hub under the seat? I believe we both have the compartments under the drivers seat for the equipment.
