I'm putting a 10 head rear inneredge solo into a new Durango. Following the vague instructions Whelen provides.

The instructions only mention removing the rear trim, nothing about notching them or anything else.

After following the directions, i tried to mount the bar with the trim installed, slotted for the brackets, and the damn thing doesnt line up.. its a good 1/4 to 1/2 inch off.

Solutions? add spacers the drop the bracket and the light the required distance or cut the trim out around the whole body of the light?
