25CF-SB?

Does anyone know what the "SB" designation stands for on an aerodynic 25CF-SB?

Series B. Meaning the center section is the 2nd generation crossfire that is a pair of independent traffic clearing lights.

25CF had the "Crossfire" in the middle.
25CF-SB replaced the "Crossfire" with a pair of Meteors as TCLs.

Both are good bars, I am partial to the Crossfire.

The Crossfire was as effective as it was unique. Replacing it, both in the Model 24 and in the CFF/CFFF, with a pair of Meteor TCLs seemed half-hearted at best.

The -SB designation also applies to the CFF and CFFF:

That bar is as hard to find as a set of Hen's Teeth in AZ...lol

Most likely it'll have to be pieced together.

I remember when the Burbank Film Studios liquidated most of all their Emergency Vehicles and parts.....Unfortunately I couldn't make the sale. Lots of Cal Spec stuff. There were deals galore and pieces going back to the 20s, thru the 50's and current.

I wish some Philanthropist would of saved these historical vehicles and put them in a museum.
