4200 Day/Night

I've always ran my 4200 in "night mode" by just splicing the ignition wire into it.

I have a 12v photocell switch I'm going to install into my console to trigger 12v+ for "night mode".

My question is, does the 12v+ signal from the photocell for nights override the day mode 12v+ constant or would I have to build a relay for this to work?

Yes, night mode will over ride day mode. My day mode is connected to ignition and night mode is connected to clearance lights.
