Looking at the software, it appears that I cannot activate buttons with the ignition sense input. However, if I also connected ignition the ignition sense wire to another +12V input, and set that to activate buttons, will that work? My concern is that it will already have +12V on it before the controller finishes booting up, and it may therefore not respond. Anyone ever try this?

I want to have the two-way radio in the vehicle turn on with ignition, and then turn off an hour after ignition off. But also be controllable with a button.
By the way, I was able to do this. I wired ignition sense into input E in the controller, set it to 1 hour, and made it turn on the radio button.
The other thing I noticed - and not a big deal - is if I have the button off, and I turn the car off, the button turns back on for an hour.
