This is a Tripp Lite model FF flashing light. Looks to be NOS. This light dosn't have a thermal flasher, but uses some type of circuit board to make the light flash. Circuit board is dated 1978. Anyone have any other info on this type light?
This was Tripp's second generation FF light. The first was a glass "beehive" type light with a cast metal base.
The light you have is a nice looking light, but not very effective as a 360 degree beacon. The beam is concentrated through the 3 bullseye lenses, so it throws only 3 directional beams instead of the 360 degrees of intense light that you would expect from a beacon.
That being said, not many of the incandescent flashing lights are super effective.
Still a neat looking light though, especially in green.
