70's Tripp Lite Model FF Flashball

This was Tripp's second generation FF light. The first was a glass "beehive" type light with a cast metal base.

The light you have is a nice looking light, but not very effective as a 360 degree beacon. The beam is concentrated through the 3 bullseye lenses, so it throws only 3 directional beams instead of the 360 degrees of intense light that you would expect from a beacon.

That being said, not many of the incandescent flashing lights are super effective.

Still a neat looking light though, especially in green.

I had 2, and wish I still had them.
