I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Especially if there's anyone here who's worked on Millenium bars. I've had this bar for almost three years now. It was a factory refurb. The takedowns have melted white spots on the end caps. I have barely used them in steady burn mode, but they flash alternately when I have the lightbar fully lit up. I'm wanting to replace them with something that will work for takedowns, but won't put out all the excess heat. I will be putting new end caps on it also.

So my question is, what will fit inside the bar to take thier place? I can do some modifying, they just have to fit inside the bar. I thought about the Whelen LR11 led takedowns, but I've never seen them in person so I don't know how big they are & if they would fit inside the bar. Open to any advice.

oooooooo! i like this thread. im doing this right now. i got a set of the whelen led take downs. so 4 total. iv made the brakets so i can mount them right where the orginals are in the millennim. i just orderd pins and will be ordering the plugs so i can plug them right in. think they will work nicly. ill post some pictures when im done. only spent about $75 on the whelen led mr11 take downs. but yes they will fit. the side are a perfect fit. the takedowns are a really tight fit.

After seeing this (second) thread about a 911EP product, I'm a bit curious about this brand. What are SoundOff Signal's intentions with the future of 911EP? Are they offering product support for all existing 911EP products? Are they planning to integrate 911EP products into the SoundOff brand?

For this individual looking to repair his Millenium lightbar, I wonder if SOS has a solution for this.

Having been an employee of 911ep/Armor Holdings, I am very familiar with the Mill. light bar. In 2006 the idiot that was working in purchasing threw away all replacement parts for this light bar. SOS never got any inventory of parts for the MIll. You are out of luck unless you can find someone that may have one laying around. The bulb number that was used in that bar is MR-11 which is a the same bulb used in projectors. Don't try to get inside you will ruin the bar and it will not EVER work again. I have drawings if you want time send me a PM and I will forward to you.

you are wrong on that. i got replacemt parts last yr for the bars. but early this yr the parts for millenniums were discontued. so what ever dealers and or people like me have left for parts is all that is left. i have to cases of endcaps, modules, a few led stacks. i know of someone who has cid boxes.

and you are also wrong on the take down ally light size. mr11 are in the whelen bars. mr8s are whats in the millennium bars.

iv taken plenty of the bars apart. you just have to make shure everything is sealed tight. i do a pressure test and make shure of no leaks.

If you would like I can send you the original instructions on the lightbar. It was an MR-11 that we used and then we down sized it to a MR-8. same pins in both and either one will work. As for you getting parts, you didn't say what you got but I am guessing it was something simple and got overlooked. I was in the office the day Kurt threw everything away. The point I was trying to make to the question was it would be hard to find what he needed to fix the bar.

One last little bit of information, I was one of 4 engineers that designed and patented the MIll light bar. I Think I know about that bar. I have all of the paperwork needed from instructions to flash pattern software.

I'm not entirely sure they will fit, but you can check with Dave (sbparkcop) and ask him about getting a couple of the MULE heads to put in there. They're relatively inexpensive, and are INSANELY bright. I think the heads themselves are only like $40 a piece from him, but I can't remember right off the top of my head. It's just a thought.

here in st. cloud they threw the stuff away?

alright. i got to the point today where the brackets are finished. it was raining so i didnt get a chance to actuly put them in the bar. plus i also dont have the pins/plug yet. i had a endcap with led stacks and a endcap to show what they will look like and to show they will fit like i said they would.
